^^^based on said results I'd venture to say that Cocaine is your desired drug of choice. Everyone has a vice, perhaps you've found your own introduction to the pleasure and the pain, you can go so far.......

go see a doctor, go on antidepressants, you DONT want to be doing coke long term. coke is expensive, addictive, and you will build a tolerance to it - meaning before long youre going to be doing some seriously seedy stuff to maintain your habit...and in a moment of lucidity, or when youre in a slump, you might well be driven into extreme depression and kill yourself.

also, you may have thought that you felt 'normal' for the first time in months, but there is a good chance that yo ujust felt good - ie over and above how good you would feel normally - so thinking that a coke high is a return to normality is probably a misconception...and one that will lead you down a fairly dark path.

you need to adress the root causes of your depression, and deal with them, preferably by non drug measures...though some standard antidepressants might help to get you out of a slump.

if you dont remember anything from this post, remember this: coke is a really, really, really bad drug to use to get out of the rut that youre in. really really really bad.

good luck :)

I would like to try Coke as an adjunct in specific circumstances, perhaps on a weekend when I plan to be up and partying or when I have to be awake, it would allow me to maintain energy levels while not taking in sugars/excess carbs.....the perfect weekend pickmeup.

That said, I wouldn't recommend using it longterm as it's abuse potential is high for those predisposed with addictive personalities.

I think that short term infrequent use of coke may be a good thing for some. It's not like there's no medical benefits coming from coke or it's metabilites. If it normalised you, that's great. See how long it lasts, it may make you feel normal for weeks, in which case it might be worth exploring from time to time. Realise ofcourse that it's walking a very slippery slope. But coke HAS helped some of our most influential poeple and artists do and write their best works, which influenced our cultures beyond measure. So Coke just like MDMA can be used effectively if you have enough self controll.

Street drugs mite seem like a temproary solution for depression but they are not. But you won't lsiten.. U gotta learn on your own

There is absolutley no way on earth to control your use of either Coke or MDMA. Your brain gets a taste and then starts firing off signals to your body wanting more. There is nothing you can do but either go through the DTS or get more. That isn't control.

Not really. Some people have varying degrees of an addictive response but all of use have the propensity to become addicted to substances like Coke or Heroin that hit the dopamine centers in our brains with such force.

I'm glad you posted this thread LFDH cos I can help.

Go to a psychiatrist and explain what happened, and discus with him/her putting you on Wellbutrin aka Bopuprion. See coke triggers the release of Norepinephrien and Dopamine in your brain (as alluded to by WODIN). What Wellbutrin does is prevent your brain from re-uptaking the norepinephrine and dopamine it normally secretes. This takes a while to build up, but once it does it'll give you a safe, steady high of similar properties to cocaine.

I should know. I'm on it.

Coke, meth are well known anti-depressants, which were prescribed by Sigmund Freud a century ago. However, because it is very addictive it is not used anymore for this purpose.

Ding Ding.

I allways feel really bad the day after i do that stuff, like a drug addict. i am not even close to one. I would say do that stuff like 1or twice a yr. if at all

Wrong. Some people can snort that stuff and build no addiciton. Did some coke about 3 weeks ago (first time in 2 years). Had a great fucking time but guess what ? I'm not looking badly for some more. I only do that shit if I have a good reason. That means I can wait a week just like a year. Same for morphine, codeine and all that crap. I used to take codeine, percocet and dilaudid about 2 years ago when I had insomnia (2-3 nights a week). Once I stopped my mad nightlife routine, my problems were gone and I dropped these medications. No addiction, no need for some therapy. Same with alcohol or tobacco. Maybe I'm just a freak....

I have had my year of fun as well experimenting with some of this and that.. and was able to stop when i wanted.

But maybe it's not that you don't becoem addicted, maybe it's just a stronger will power.. I dunno.

A lot of the people who i used to go out with were feens.. and couldn't give it up the way i did.. god knows how the brain works.. we really only know a little bit.. even when we think we mite know everything

actually, antidepressants are as addictive as coke/meth
ever been with someone who stopped A/D's cold turkey?
believe me, it is a hell

The reason you felt good is b/c cocaine releases dopamine and is a dopamine reuptake blocker also I believe.

If you could get 100% pure cocaine at a gas station, there would be virtually no problems with doing some cocaine hydrochloride on occasion.

Coke is the Devil's lie. DO NOT RELY ON IT to get you off your depression. You think you are depressed now? Just wait to see how you feel when you lose everything you do have by doing coke. It is the most evil deceptive drug there is. Wodin is right(wow I can't believe I said that j/k wodie) get yourself on anti depressants they will make your brain function normally again. Coke will ruin you dude. Trust me on this. Man, I would have cigarrette boat on Lake Travis right now if it wasn't for that shit.

Come on man, that's not true. I have a very addictive personality and I did coke off and one for a month then never touched it again. No withdrawels or anything.

Anyways, Coke did the same thing with my anxiety. It was weird, I was all jacked up yet my anxiety was nonexistant. It was truly a great feeling.

BUT!!!! you'll never get that great feeling again. This is what you have to watch out for. You'll keep trying to reach that feeling that you felt for the first time and will either get hooked or OD.

I'll tell you what that motherfucker(the devil) did . If it wasn't for him, I would still be running around paradise(no mosquitos) naked with good looking chicks like Eve with my only job naming animals. Screw the devil and the rolling stones for giving him sympathy.

Ask your doc for a script for cocaine.

Jk. COc may seem like it brings you out of that rut, but how did you feel the next day?

as your body gets used to it, youll need more and more and this is not a cheap drug as everyone knows.

Take anti d’s if you feel depressed. They work although it may take a while for them to kick in.

Coke is not a way out of depression in fact in the long run with continued use, it makes you even more depressed and it becomes a vicious cycle very difficult to get out of.

Yes, anti d’s can be addictive and stopping them cold turkey may lead to symptoms similar to withdrawals from coke (though I doubt it can be as bad). But unlike coke, you can gradually reduce the antid dosage if you want to get off it which is they way most doctors get their patients off them. I don’t know that this is possible with coke.

For the poster that said using coke to achieve artistic perfection is okay if you have self control, I recommend that if someone needs coke to be artistic, they are in the wrong profession.

For your sake, your family and friends and people that care about you, do not use this as a cure for your depression. Dont let your login name be your epitaph.

You can do those substances without getting addicted.

Coke isnt physically addictive (only psychologically), MDMA is also known as 3,4-Methylenedioxymethamphetamine or
1-(benzo[d][1,3]dioxol-5-yl)-N-methylpropan-2-amine. It may have some addictive properties as it is an amphetamine, but the effects MDMA has on serotonin keeps most educated users from using X more than once every month or two. (you need to give your brain time to recover)

Note: the infamous "holes in the brain" study was actually a propaganda study by the govt, 2 years later it was quietly revealed the substance test was actually meth.
