Coke and Pepsi scare?

Anyone hear this or is this person a quack?:

My wife just called and said her friend's mom was at the grocery store last night and loaned an Arabic man 2 dollars cause he was short. He then followed her to her car and asked for her address and name to send her the repayment. She told him not to worry about it that it was only 2 dollars. He then told her she was a nice lady and gave her this tip....don't drink Coke or Pepsi for awhile. He then drove away and she took down his license plate # to report him to the FBI.

Talking to some coworkers, a couple of them have similar stories from some of thier friends and families. Is this lady just putting herself in some internet story? Have you come across any of this?
