close grip bench technique

When using close grip bench to primarily hit the Tri's, where should the bar be brought down to?
I find that bringing it below my pecs, closer to the bottom of my ribcage, allows me to keep my elbows in more.

Should I be 'aiming' for somewhere else instead (like nipples, collarbones, etc..) to really focus on my tris?

close grip should be done lowering the bar to your lower chest/upper abs so you can tuck those elbows more.

I do the same...low on my chest/upper abs. Slow/moderate negative then I explode the weight up...

Well I have tried all the styles and have settled on my own.

Wider grip, about shoulder width and this takes the stress off the shoulders/elbows that some get.

This also makes it allot easier to keep the elbows to the body, which is what it is all about. Close grip actually flares the elbows.
Sit there with your hands infront and elbows to the side then slowly widen them;
You can feel it gets more comfortable to hold the elbows in to the body this way, and it naturally keeps the elbows in. TRY IT

Then lower to the upper chest and push the bar straight up, when you wear out, lower the bar to the lower chest and keep going. No need to go heavy if you keep the form.
Remember to push with the tri's first, not shoulder and chest.

Close grip, i see it always a struggle to keep the elbows in, fighting this buggers your set and elbows.
I am not saying it dose not work, biomachanically I prefer the other way.
