Clen Laws?

Im not looking for a detailed report, just wondering what the law in the US was on Clen since its not a controlled substance, but is not FDA Approved.

i actually got pulled over had a couple clen tabs in my pocket when they searched me and the cops said its not controlled so just took the pills and dumped them out it took them about 3 hours to find out what the pills were i had that and adex it was bullshit reason for the search anyway but they could have fucked me over
