Cleans are bothering my rotators

Am i going too heavy or what? Should i expect this to be happening a ltitle bit when i first start (been doing them once a week for about 2 months now) Am I SUPPOSED to feel a little strain after every set?
 
Your probbaly pulling with your arms - upright rowing the bar.
And perhaps the bar is a bit further away from the body, which makes it worse - it should be within an inch

actually it just hurts on the last part of the movement to where the bar rests at the chest. Even holding in resting position doesn't feel too rgeat.
 
you arent swinging you arms underneath. I imagine it looks like you are about to do a shoulder press when you catch the bar
 
Is the bar supported by your arms/hands or your chest/shoulders? It should be the later with elbows high up, there will be no pressure on your cuffs.
