Ckd Refeed question

On the CKD refeed, would pigging out on fats, and some proteins, say 1000Cals more then typical for a day or 2, give you a refresed lepetin levels, and get t-3 levels back up, or is Carbs 100% needed. Just curios. Im gonna carb up on thanks giving, I have been keto for 2 weeks on that day.

are you doing a ckd for fat loss, i am considering doing one for fat loss and want to know how it is going, are you losing fat, maintaining muscle, do you feel energy deprived thanks

Hmm

Im not very carb dependant. Before I even knew what a ckd diet was I was practilly living ckd. I would eat carbs after lifting and then protein shakes, and meat the rest of the time.

But I feel pretty damn good on a CKD. My weight lifting is doing good, cardio the same. I dont feel tired at all, I like the way I feel when I have alot of fats in me. I think the fats work with your brain to make you feel better. Also I notice I dont get hungry very often. Like CKD almost blunts my hunger, I just eat, set my watch to go off 2-3 hours later and I eat again.

I eat alot of eggs, steak, olive oil, bacon, cheese, heavy cream, Natty PB, chicken, turkey, Fish, tuna, etc.

My advice would be to learn as much as you can and then start. I would recomend eating healthy for the next 6 weeks, and once xmas and new years are over start the diet. Because I know not everyone has the will power to eat perfect during the holidays. SOme familys incorparte food, drinking as part of the festivities. Or newyears eve is a big drinking night.

Go read MR X's articles, or give swole cat an email, either way you cant go wrong.

carbohydrates have the biggest effect on leptin levels. That and caloric level. You'd be much better off refeeding w/ low fat/mod protein and high high carbs

You're talking about a binge eating style or "see-food-diet". I do not see that as optimal because the rate of glucose absorption by the liver will be greatly slowed down by the fat/protein content; thus, disabeling proper refill of leptin levels and the proper conversion for the T4-T3 chain.

I always recommend proper carb ups w/ minimal fat, of course, it all depends on the person. But, on average, it's important to maximize the anabolism while minimizing fat-gain (which DOES occur during the carb-up as an effect of OVERSPILL)
