Circa-Max Opinions....

Just wondering what anyone who has used its views are on the circa max routine.

I know spatts/project/hannibal/DG & KG/animalmass & genemachine were all using it before thier last meet, but I never recalled hearing any input ifthey thought it helped that much.

I started using it with good results, but closer I got to the end of the cycle, the more beat up I was feeling(this may have been result of personal problems too).

Liftbig had mentioned this in my "Wlak-out" thread, and the thought had already crossed my mind, I was just wondering if I should maybe put this in effect before my next meet.

Thanks for the input..

I feel really torn up about 3 weeks out, then as we deload I really start to feel fast, yet I am used to the "Feel" of the heavier tension. Basically I end up feeling fast at a heavier weight, which is what I want. It worked great for our test run and my first comp, but I had a kidney infection at my STL comp, so I can't really tell if it helped me out or not, since I couldn't squat.

I like the Circa Max phase...but I need more time between the heaviest week and the contest. I need at least 3 full training weeks if not 4 between the last Circa Max week and the contest to take heavier weights in the gym and focus more on my events.

If I am too beaten up from the circa max phase on DE days...how am I supposed to efficiently train ME and Event days???

Just a thought...

I tried it and ran into the same problem. I was still really beat up from DE day on ME day. I tried to adjust to it but I gave up and went back to a normal training cycle before the meet.

during circa max i dont feel you should go balls to the wall on me day. i would work up to a 5lb pr if that, and the monday of your last CM week i would just do acessorys.
