Hi. I am retiring my Saturn and getting a new car. For those of you who have been here a while, you know the retirement of the "Silver Chariot" is a sad thing. But it is necessary at approx 160K miles.
I don't see a lot of cars i really like out there. I only like the Crossfire and the SC430
I looked at Aston Martins briefly, I may get one, but I am looking for a daily use vehicle. Amazingly, this city (Jacksonville) has a great British car mechanic. So I am down to these two. Which would you rather have? I have a Lexus GS 300, love it very much.
Also, any suggestions are welcomed, but I am not interested in
MB
BMW
Audi
Porsche
Corvette
Dodge Viper
350Z
Ferrari/Lamborghini etc (no good mechanics for those here, like the Aston Martin, too much stress to drive)
any SUV
Thanks.
This is almost an inclusive list of all cars in the US over $35K. Since you consider them all to be stigmatized, what does this say about your opinion of people with money?
Are you looking for a daily driver, or a fun toy? Since you already have the Morgan and a big Lexus sedan, which have the sports car and luxury car fields covered, I think the third car should be something more utilitarian, something you can use for shopping, that you can load up with groceries or stuff from Lowe's or a big screen TV. Since an SUV is out of the question, may I suggest a station wagon? The Subaru Legacy wagon might be a good choice, or even the WRX wagon or Saab 9-2x. Or how about the Saab 9-5 SportWagon?
