Chinups...jesus

Uch, to progress on these is a bitch! I managed to squeeze one extra rep out this week on my DC training plan. I don't think I can up it by one rep every single time. That extra rep today was hard enough. I'm keeping it int he 11-15 RP range like DC recommends. Should I drop the range and start adding weight instead?

I'm not sure what that training plan is, but all I know is that the number of pullups I was able to do did not budge until I started doing them weighted.

Part of the problem with progressing with pullups/chinups is that in order to get stronger, you need to add muscle, which in turn increases your weight and makes a pullup/chinup that much harder. Also having the worst lats in the history of lats makes progress difficult.

i've always had trouble with endurance. no matter what i was doing. i have to add weight to be able to increase reps. increasing a rep every day or every workout worked very well until i got to about 13 for chinups. then i stalled, so now i add weight.

more fun anyway, when you add weight. i say add weight! don't know how DC works, but add weight dammit! :D
