Killah did this thread last month and it went fairly well, so let's give it another shot. How is everyone doing? Progress reports? Issues/roadblocks/plateaus? What are your goals and how close are you to them?


Last time we checked in I was too askeered to go back in the "advanced training" area of my gym to use to squat rack. I have since overcome that shyness and while there is much staring action, I have been largely left alone. On Monday I squatted a puny 135 that I am pitifully proud of considering it's more than my body weight (110), and my ass is hurting so bad that I'm walking funny. It's GREAT.

So tell me how you're doing!
 
let's see....

- have a pulled adducter or whatever that muscle is, so I'm not squatting
- overhead pressing 195
- using 100's on the dumbell bench, goal is to get to the 125's
- I'm still too fat to post pics, so I need to up my cardio....I'd say i'm at about 12%
- my butt looks awesome
- my traps look awesome
- arms are approaching 18", and aren't fitting into some of my shirts, which is a quandry.
- I need to tan, becasue I'm pasty white


that's about it for now
 
I am finally starting to feel the changes in my body and have bumped all my weights up at this time. I'm hoping to bump up by 10lbs more next week as well. I have intensified my cardio as well. :) I feel great!
 
Thanks for stealing my idea, fatass.

I'm still doing well. Still trying to get a firm grip on my eating clean, but the training is going great. My RC issue has started acting up a bit the last 2 weeks, so I am going in for a "tune-up" at the ART doc on Friday.
 
me to jerkbox.....I so need a tan but I'm having trouble finding the time.
They have tanning beds at gym but by the time I do my weights and cardio I'm in there a good 1 and half hours. By then I'm so ready to go home.
 
Dieting.

workouts and cardio are carb deprived and losing steam but so far so good.

steady 1.20 loss per week with 4 weeks left to go! :)

So tell me how you're doing!

If you try:

500mg test E EW
600mg eq ew
100mg tren a ed
50 mg dbol ed

Then you should have your squat up to 150 in no time. Although, you will start growing much facial hair and have somewhat deeper voice.
 
I am finally 110% back track diet wise. I also and back to doing daily carido.
I did make many PR's when my diet was not on track:
Rack DL 315 x 3
Bent DB row 90 x 5
Squats 225 x 5
Bench 155 x 5
I had been doing some silly large numbers on the hammer strenght bench too but don't really count it the same as regular bench 230 x 3
Looking forward to leaning out and getting back into a size 3-4. I need a tan too!
 
Bump for you lazy bastards. When I get home late tonight this thread better have gotten some more replies. I am going for another motorcycle ride after the gym and I have no idea how much it's going to hurt in my current condition.

My cardio has become el poop de la crapo. I'm going to shoot for 10 miles per week when I start the 5x5. I'll be doing yoga on the off days too, because my flexibility sucks and I'm tense all the time.
 
A few weeks ago I got 385 very cleanly on the bench, I was going to go for four wheels but there is no spotter at the home gym. I'll go for 405 in a few weeks, I haven't done that much since I was a college undergrad and juiced.

I felt so good about my accomplishment I strangled a homeless man Spartan style.:)

I've been going to the gym steady for quite some time now and half the time I still don't know what the hell your all talking about.

It's a strength building program. I'm still reading up on it, so to best understand, you should check the training board. I wouldn't be able to do it justice.

im doing pretty tight

doing around 225x10 for incline
275x8 for flats
405x5 for a couple of sets on deads
315x4 on sqs
185x5 and then 205x1 for standing OHP with a little pushpressesque legdrive
i have to diareah my pants
 
I'm pretty happy with mine. I'm now getting myself to actually go back to the gym. I used to have some passable (based on everyone else's numbers) lifts awhile back, but (for some reason) it doesn't mean that much to me anymore and I took some time off.

I guess I should be more serious about the workout, but I'm not as the workouts aren't as important to me anymore.

Currently, I'm doing --

20 x 185, dead
15 x 185, sqt
2 x 15 x 185, decline bench

-- and fucking around for the rest of the workouts
 
Successfully and used to now getting up at 5:15am to go to the gym for morning cardio....

Got 3 sets of 10 chest presses with the 40lb DBs today by myself! Whooo!

Comfortably squatting 115lbs with no adverse effects on my knee - so I think I'll bump up the weight next week....

When I got food poisoning I was completely incapacitated for three days and not feeling anywhere near normal until day five.
 
10 reps x6 sets 155lbs flat bench
10 reps x6 sets 60lbs barbell curls
10 reps x3 sets 25lbs dumbell curls
10 reps x 6 sets 150lbs chest press machine
10 reps x 6 sets 70 lbs military press machine
10 reps x 4 sets 145lbs squats
10 reps x 6 sets 150 lbs leg curl machine
10 reps x 6 sets 120lbs dips machine
10 reps x 6 sets incline sit ups
10 reps x 6 sets 110lbs row machine
10 reps x 6 sets 120 lbs flys machine
cardio 15 min every time I go. Do 7.5 mph so usually about 1.7 miles

split those groups up every other time.
 
On monday I did the following.

Flat bench 135 x 15, 225 x 15, 315 x 12
incline dbs 120's x 10-12 for 3 sets
cable crossovers 3 sets of 20 reps.
Decline db flyes 50's 3 sets of 15-20 reps

Took tuesday off to work on my house but wednesday I did
Leg press I do 5 sets of 15-20 usually my last 2 sets are 15reps or til failure. I start with 6 plates per side then finish with 10 per side.
Squats I do 3 sets of 20 reps from 225 to 315.
leg ext 3 sets of 20 reps with maybe 100lbs
standing and seated calf raises 3 sets of 20 reps for each exercise.
Today is arms.
 
I've motivated one of my friends to start lifting with me tonight. I am going to get homegirl off the treadmill. Yay!

I wish I had the gut(s) to gain more mass. It's been on my agenda for year's to do just that, but I just can't seem to eat all the food it takes to do it

Currently: Maintaining what I got and LOVING every second spent in the gym.

I hadn't flat benched seriously for nearly 2 years did one workout with a friend at my gym gave me a few tips and the PR's came. :) I only do flat BB bench when I know and trust the spotter 110%.
 
I haven't been in the gym for about 7 weeks now due to work. I've been doing some situps, pushups, and using my cable system a bit. I am getting stronger on my COC grippers and can do reps with the #2 now and have the #3 within a half inch of closing.

I've lost quite a bit of weight not sure how much exactly but I'm down two notches on my belt. My appetite has also shrunk a lot without the added caloric expenditure.

Same here.. never flat BB until last year when my guy started working out with me. The spotter really helps!

My problem, I am not consistent at the gym. The amount of weight I can lift goes up, then I cannot work out for a few weeks, then I start all over.
Very frustrating!
One week I was strong and doing incline DB press with 35's x 8 for 4 sets and then bang, 2 weeks later I am back down to 30 for 3 sets!

I want to be big so ppl come touch my bicep too ;-)
