You know I've been quite about this up until this point. Which I don't care to be a part of this argument cause it's soooooooooooooo pointless. The simple fact is this is George's board put hear for our benefit he makes the rules and he's the one who decided to have mods here to enforce them. And according to the Terms of Service (TOS) 99 % of things said here or pictures posted could be removed and anybody could be terminated without any notice or reason what so ever, and don't worry about saying it's wrong or not he has an indemnity clause just incase anyone get's any bright ideas. Do I like censorship hell no I don't, but when I agreed to the TOS I agreed to abide by it and if I don't then I can go somewhere else it's that simple. I understand it, why can't anyone else?

This argument about who should be mods and what's right or wrong is pointless. George has been very gracious and giving us a tremendous amount of slack on the rules and up until this point very little has been enforced. If he so deems for his moderators to enforce certain rules then that is there job to do, so cut them slack, they don't make the rules George does. How simple can it get?

it has nothing to do with george. those things you agree to are pretty much the same for every board and if followed strictly about half the stuff said here would get deleted. that thing you agree to is just to cover their asses. the fact is it hasnt been enforced strictly the whole time and i felt the board was running well. so why all the sudden should the new moderators feel they have to be more strict? i dont really see the chinese baby thing as the same as the racism though. its a little harsher for many people. but the racism shouldnt be deleted now.

It's not that the mods feel they have to be more strict, It's George giving them the guide lines of what to enforce and saying just how strict he want's them to be. Everybody thinks it's the mods all of a sudden getting an ego trip cause of there new status. That's not the case. Haven't you every been giving a certain set of procedures or standards by your boss or supervisor and told just how strict to enforce them? This is the same case.

I can see your point, but there is no precedent in this case for simple fact that they (stated in the TOS) have the right at any time without warning to enforce such rules. I don't think there's a gray area here.

i know that if you go by the rules then racism can be deleted. also half this board can be since lots of trash talking goes on. the problem is that if the old mods didnt do it then the new ones shouldnt unless they have been told to and they havent.

i asked one of them. im sure they just got the same guidelines that the old ones got. there was no specific direction to be more strict. they have the same guidelines the old mods did. i think they should follow them the same as the old ones did then.

No offense, but you've loosed me here? You're saying specifically that "you asked one of them", but follow up with "I'm sure they just got the same guidelines that the old ones got", which is an assumption. Who did you specifically ask and what was exactly said?

I've told friends about this board, and they've looked at it, and turned away from all the tasteless crap.

i asked if there was any specific directions to be more strict. the person said no. then another said that they have guidelines from george. so i put them both together and figured they have the same guidelines as the old mods with no directions to be more strict. so i think they should act as the old mods have.

But they don't have to do as the old mods have. The only thing they are required to do is what's in the guide lines set for them to carry out. If they do decide to enforce it, is that abuse of power? No as long as it's within the guidelines then it's well within there power to do so. That's the exact purpose of them being there wether anyone chooses to agree with it or not. You certainly have the right not to agree, but what's the point? The rules are the rules we agreed to when we became members that's all. The thing I'm trying to say is everyone here can discuss this until there blue in the face. Is it going to change anything? Unless you have a substantial amount of stock in elite fitness . . . I highly doubt it.
