Dbol causes intramuscular water retention of which anastrozol will have little effect on so although one may using armidex/liquidex while on they are still watered down gains. Dbol does not bind stringly to the androgen receptor and thus does not initiate direct muslce protein synthsis in the targeted cells. It's actions come from extrinsic actions in regards to the androgen receptor. It can aid in strenght gains which can increase muscle tension meaning greater recruitment of type 2 muscle fibers and hence increased muscle hypertrophic capabilities. It can decrease muscle protein degredation. It can also work on growth factors which then go on to have anabolic effects, but they aren't of the magnitude of that when the androgen receptor is agressively bound. Contrary to popular beleif, dbol is not a great muscle builder. It's water retentive properties often disguise themselves as muscle tissue, but they aren't. If offers rapid strenght gains which can make for a nice start to a cycle, but other than that it's muscle synthesizing properties are indirect and thus less impactfull.
The point is there are better choices for a first cycle. Better ways to make better use of your money and effort. Most of the time people who run dbol only cycles are uneducated, impatient, and underdeveloped when it comes to weight training and proper dietary practices.
If you are thinking about your first cycle you should already know how to eat and how to train. If those two factors aren't in place you aren't going to have much success with a cycle of anything. Those are what determine gains, not the drugs. AAS can only enhance the response to training stimulus and nutritional status.
Why are you thinking of Dbol only? Fear of needls? Side effects? For whatever reason it simply means you should spend some more time and educate yourself about AAS use. Knowing what you're putting into your body not only greatly decreases risk involvement, but it also greatly enhances the gains you will make.
A simple testosterone only cycle will be far more effective and rewarding. No gains are entirely keepable. You will always loose muscle mass when discontinuing the drug/s you're on unless you juiced way too early and were very far from your natural ability...which is often times the case. Most of the time all people have to do is start eating right and they will explode with new mass. Most of the time this is the most neglected aspect of the game. Only when you dial the three keys in should you move on to AAS use. DIET, training, lifestyle.
