if you walk into any clinic or doc's office and you tell them whats up they gotta test you and yes ohip covers it just dont bullshit the doc if push comes to shove pm for a doc's name that might help you out

just go to a walk in... OHIP covers the doc's free & it's $25 for free-test levels. This isnt the States, you dont need to lie to the doc about it

Yeah, the main thing that you should do is never lie to them. I had gyno and was too embarassed to tell my female doctor that I had taken AAS. She sent me to get a mamogram (talk about embarassing).....then I had to go and get the surgery....

The point is, a doctor, before they can become a doctor have to take the hypocrathic oath, which states (among other things) that they pledge to give a patient the best help to assist them in the recovery of their health.

A doctor doesn't have to agree with what you're doing, but they DO have to provide you assistance to get better. Blood tests are needed on the road to getting better....

I would just be honest and schedule some blood work. I get it done frequently now and not only do I not have to pay anything, but I also have built a trust with my doc and she helps me out along the way...

Thanks for the help guys... this site is an awesome place with some awesome people...i'd hit you all up with Karma if it was worth anything! (my old account got locked due to inactivity so i'm not a noob)

anyhow, my quesiton is with regards to being open with a doc about AAS... does that go in your medical record? what are the potential negative outcomes to telling a doc you're on AAS (besides the lecture)?

I have actually went in to my doctor and told him that I was using steroids and wanted to make sure that my blood values were allright. Better to be safe than sorry.
The doctor may voice his opinion but that is really all he will do.
