I don't want to be a mod or member, I respect those that do, its good to give back. I've done my share of giving back in other ways (e.g. plat memberships for myself and others, buying karma, helping with some marketing campaigns (remember the gift certificate debacle).

I'm not a politician, and you have to have a bit of that to be an effective moderator, you have to push aside your personal opinions and biases for the good of the board, I imagine that would be a struggle for me at times.

I don't think I have it in me. I get too annoyed when I help people who ask for advice only to have them ignore it simply because they only wanted someone to come on and tell them the way they were doing it was "the best"!

The ones who actually take the advice and at least attempt to put it into practice are too few and far between. And, god forbid your way of doing things is any different from the majority of cookie cutter advice already offered. You'll be crticized and condemned by a bunch of know-nothing, teen-aged and early twenties noobs.
