go back and re-read my post. i said the state took over the case from the feds.. if it stayed federal i'm sure i would not have got off as easy, and you dont get out early for good behavior in federal lockup...
i went thru 3 lawyers. i was looking at nine years in federal. then the state took the case from the feds and let me plea. first plea was 3 years in state pen. my lawyer said not to go to trial or they would bury me. 10g's in lawyer fees and i got 1 month in max security and then did 3 more months in med security at a county 'camp' and 3 years probation, and a felony.
A lot of people have received many seizure notices and never have a controlled delivery or search warrant served. I think it comes down to man power and tax dollars.

I'm questioning the idea that the feds would threaten you with 9 years for 42 pills. I have to get my legal muscle copy out but I'm pretty sure thats waaaaaaaay waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more than federal guidelines specify
I'm not calling you a liar, but I am obviously reluctant about the veracity of your story
