hey guys,
ive let myself get more than a little smooth (chunky is the term), but im making great gains in the gym> my question is whether it is possible to continue making gains, but on a low carb diet.
i eat tons of protein, and at the moment im getting carbs from low gi fruits, wholegrains, nuts, seeds etc etc. but i am eating too much and i want to get a little cut.
is it possible to continue making solid gains on a very low carb diet (above a ketogenic state, but essentially v.low gi with most of my carbs coming from green veg and salads)
i know that one needs carbohydrate to fuel a work out, but in terms of post work out muscle growth, how essential are carbohydrate sources for muscle tissue growth.
if one has the energy, pumps and attitute to get a great workout in despite being low carb, will the low carb state effect the muscle growth afterwards.
i think you guys follow my drift.
any advice appreciated.
cheers
