Boxing for cardio

Slugfest 4-6oz gloves? my wraps weigh more.

Big-Stud my regiment is a little lighter than it used to be when I competed but good for weightlifters who need to cut up and learn to kick some ass.

5 minutes light stretching
2-3minute round of shadow boxing with one minute break
3-5 (depending on what type of shape you are in) 3minute rounds on the heavy bag with either 8oz or 14oz gloves
2-3 rounds on foot work in the ring.
cooldown stretching and ab work.

I do this about 2-3 times a week and if I really tryed to diet I would lose some serious fat. My next routine will be posted next week.

Running is childs play compared to boxing, all you really need to do is move your legs. when you spar someone or have a good trainer who has mits the you are real trouble, passing out is the norm

I've been thinking about getting a punching bag instead of doing cardio. I like smashin out a few on the ole bag. I'm sure my brother would appreciate it as last week we got drunk and he said to punch him in the stomach, so I did and cracked a few ribs to boot.:D Sorry bro..

NO, fuck boxing. messes up your hands and wrists. you may have problems doing brabell curls later in your life. When I boxed, and shortly after I stopped, during the curls, my wrist muscles/tendons/whatever wouldn't hold the weight, and disconnect in the joint. Very painful, not to mention can't dao anything for biceps except hammer curls. Oh well, to each his own. Have fun, it's a great sport.
