Boxer's Fracture Recovery

So my cast for three weeks just came off and while my 5th metacarpal(pinky knuckle) is not completely healed it is about 85%. I am in a removable splint but I hardly wear it, its probably on for about 10% of the day. What I have been doing is just squeezing a hacky sack to increase my strength and keep the blood flowing to help expediate the healing process. Keep in mind this does not strain or hurt my hand at all and I am just doing soft squeezs.

Is it a good idea to work with slow movements in my hand instead of keeping my hand cooked up in the splint for the next two weeks? I feel like keeping the blood flowing with limited, stressing limited, movement would be much more beneficial.
