I don't really believe that this board is a crossection of America, but it seems like the atheists here are the more intolerant. I've seen very few posts from Christians telling atheists they're going to hell or anything like that. But the atheists are quick to call those with opinions other than their's that they are stupid.

Kinda like you do here?

What's funny is it seems like the holier than thou crowd isn't holy at all. Why does the bible offend (or threaten) people so much. Did she laugh at you for being stupid. Seems like you have the problem.

OWNED

Actually, the Bible is nothing more than a collection of Ancient Dr.Seuss' bedtime stories, as related to me by God after I used 1000mgs of DNP the other day.....maybe I shouldn't have jogged 5 miles that day? Anyway, let's look at the FACTS:

The four Gospel writers: Mark, John, Luke and Matthew all had greatly different accounts of the life of Jesus. Furthermore, NONE of the existing ancient transcripts that remain from around the time of Jesus and the Gospel writers were even signed by Mark, John, Luke and Matthew. The people who created the collection of books and writings known as the Bible just went ahead and attributed those four Gospels to those four people. Also, BIBLICAL SCHOLARS AND ANCIENT HISTORIANS alike now agree that the ORIGINAL GOSPELS OF THE LIFE OF JESUS were written somewhere between 60 A.D. and 110 A.D., way after Jesus had died. This proves that the ORIGINAL Gospels were nothing more than folklore tales that somebody decided to write down. Also of note, St. John himself, of whom the Apocalypse is also attributed to him, admitted that he wrote of the Apolcalypse AFTER HAVING A DREAM!! THAT'S RIGHT, A DREAM!!! He stated that he had a dream of the end of the world, blah blah blah. So all those stories about the end of the world, and the four horsemen, came from an old man while he was sleeping.

Also of note, the Bible as it exist today was not even the Bible used in Biblical times! In the year 353 A.D., the Pope at that time summoned 300 Bishops to Nicea, Italy for the Council of Nicea. One of the discussions at this meeting was the problem of different parts of the Christian world using different forms of the Bible. Some Bibles contained certain Gospels and writings, some did not. So the Council of Nicea decided to create ONE, SINGULAR, CENTRALIZED, CODED OFFICIAL BIBLE for the entire world to use. So today's modern Bible has nothing to do with God, or even Jesus, but with mortal men who created the Bible three hundred years after Jesus' death to centralize the power and authority of the Roman Catholic Church.

And what did the Roman Catholic Church leave out of their new offical Bible at the end of the Council of Nicea, that MOST of the world's Bibles of the time contained?

----THE GOSPEL OF THOMAS!!!!----

Thomas was one of Jesus' 12 Apostles, whose Gospel was purposely deleted from the RC Church's official Bible at the Council of Nicea because it challenged the authority of a centralized, man-controlled church. In the book of Thomas, Thomas wrote that Jesus said, "You will not find me in place of high worship or royalty, for I am everywhere. Look under a rock, and you will find me." Additionally, Thomas was very destructive to one aspect of the Roman Catholic Church, and Christianity as a whole----HE WAS THE ONLY GOSPEL WRITER WHO NEVER SPOKE OF JESUS' RESSURECTION!!! Also, Thomas stated that Jesus NEVER made any miracles. Thomas basically stated that Jesus was a mere mortal, and yet EXTREMELY WISE MAN AND TEACHER, who was crucified. THE END. So the RC Church deleted this Gospel because it defied the Church's power, which states that it receives direct authority from the Resurrected God, Jesus. Guess what, bros, there is only ONE GOD, and it ain't Jesus!!!

BTW, I'm not an atheist or agnostic. I don't believe or have faith in God, because I KNOW that God exists! The thing is, mankind has done two things with God:

1) Used the name and authority of God to control the minds and lives of gullible, uneducated submissive people.

AND

2) Have made God to have "human-like" qualities, so that mankind may use their minds to better understand Him. Guess what, God isn't a him or her, because IT'S NOT A HUMAN BEING! All that crap about God "making man in his image" is nonsense. There is no old, Charlton Heston-looking motherfucker with a gray beard and a thunderbolt hiding above the heavenly clouds. God is the name that man has given for the all-knowing, all-encompassing ENTITY that surrounds us. Human minds cannot truly understand the ENTITY that we know of as God. Remember, as it says in the Bible, Adam and Eve (meaning mankind) were at their happiest and at most peace when THEY DIDN'T EAT FROM THE TREE OF KNOWLEDGE. Only after the "serpent" made them eat the "forbidden fruit", did Adam and Eve gain knowledge. And as God said to them (or so the Bible says), their lives would be more painful for having that knowledge. SO WHAT DOES THIS TEACH US----LEAVE THE MAN BEHIND THE CURTAIN ALONE TO DO HIS BUSINESS!!! Let me tell you, bros, the day that God needs mankind to "do his work" and "do his bidding" is the day that all of mankind is doomed.

What is it, that all of these Christians who talk about doing "God's work" and "God's bidding", think they are doing? If you truly believe in God, and recognize that God is all-knowing and all-powerful, then why do Christians always believe they have to "do his work". God doesn't need mankind to do his work. He did just damn fine on his own for billions of years, and took care of all mankind while we were still swinging from branches in fuckin' Africa. The only "Christians" who think they need to do God's work are the televangelist-scumbags like Jimmy Swaggert and Co. who want to steal your money, "all for the greater glory of God". BULLSHIT!!! Keep your money, spend Sundays with your families and not with a bunch of ignorant, submissive morons in a crowded building, and live your life the best you can. In the end, it will be God, and not a bunch of hypocritical priests, rabbis and sheiks who will decide your fate. And remember, there is NO HELL!!! That was one of the many "creations" that the 90 year old St. John came up with after his dream of the Apocalpyse, which he said was inspired by God. Yeah, Johnny Boy, go smoke some more pot. Call me when you have a spare pipe on hand.
