Im FREEZING. Im always cold. When i drink my water, Im cold. when i eat a bowl of cereal Im cold. I feel like im always cold in situations when others are not. I have to put on sweatshirt and sweatpants, fuzzy slippers and wrap up on a woold blankie just to be comfortable in 72 degrees room temp at times. What could be wrong? circulation? maybe low iron?

BTW, when i was obese, i was always hot all the time. sweating for like 30 minutes after a shower LOL

I am also always cold. I have always been this way. I sleep in fuzzy pants, a long sleeve shirt, and wool socks with all the covers while my husband sleeps in his underwear and just the sheet...I also have to keep a space heater running at my desk all summer...

If someone has any good ideas...I am also up for some suggestions on how to wam up...

I have the opposite problem. I'm always hot. Been sweating up a storm while I sleep. It's been weird the last several months. I'm usually cold. In summer I normally sleep with with AC on very cold (like to breath cold air) and then get under the down comforter so I'm warm... lately can't do that. I get drenched in sweat, but if covers are off I'm too cold. I've been leaving the AC off and only using a sheet. It's been a little better but not much. Still sweat. I just can't get comfortable. I'm not using thermogenics anymore either. Don't know what's up with me.

funny thing with me is....i sweat profusely when im training. i mean shirt soaked from top to bottom, pants soaked from waist to mid thigh. people stare. its embarrassing LOL.

Low iron can cause coldness, but so can insufficient calories and/or going too long between meals. If nothing's burning in your furnace, you're going to get cold.

Lots of people will say low bodyfat, but I really think it's related more to calories. More calories in means you can have greater energy output, and movement also helps warm you up. I used to be cold all the time at twice the bodyfat I am now. Back then I used to skip a lot of meals, and I barely had enough energy to do anything but huddle under my electric blanket. Now I eat 6x a day, have more muscle and am rarely cold. Muscle is metabolically active even at rest, so it's constantly burning calories.

Even though fat has some insulation properties, I think muscle is better because it contains lots of capillaries, so you've always got nice warm blood circulating through it.

Good points, FF.

My mom is always hot and I'm always cold. She's always telling me I need some iron and I'm always telling her she needs HRT. lol

I had my iron tested during an anual exam and it was actually high. They asked me if I was any medications or if I just ate really well. Of course, I had to show that to ma.

I'm exactly the same, a complete sweat-hog in the gym. :) Any solutions to the pant-sweat issue? I look like I wet myself, I find it embarassing too.

not to sound like a dick but why do women care so much about sweating. most guys (as longas they are not assholes) could give a rats ass if you sweat it shows youare putting forth effort so keep it up ciao

i dont really mind so much sweating during training..

oh and i figured out why last thursday and friday i was SOOO cold...it was the 102 fever and bronchitis i found i had ;)
