Blackjack and Cigars

gaddmanit Ranger, you have got to be one of the cheeziest motherfuckers I've ever met. With due respect of course. ;)

I enjoy the smell of a good cigar, but prefer Marlboro lights or ganga.......lol. As far as blackjack goes, I'm a pro. I've memorized the basic strategy percentage-wise, and use "offsets" while counting to give myself an edge. But I only count if I'm not drinking, too hard otherwise to keep up with all of that. Good post.

I don't like to smoke nothing, not even fine cigars... my only vices are driving fast cars. Been saving up for my next Porsche for the last 2 1/2 years, sigh.

hardgainer ( )

Heh heh heh...Naw Kat, here in the mountains, not much to do. I was lucky enough to have an Uncle who would take me to all the Trout Streams and teach me to fish, tie flies...etc. During that time, I learned alot about patience, and life in general. Aside from the gym, my relaxation comes from the streams and rivers I fish.

For those who have never tried it, fly fishing is the hardest/easiest thing you'll ever learn, and once learned, it becomes a passion.....:)

Ranger speaks the truth.

The river can take the rage away....................better than the Iron sometimes.

That line about easiest and hardest is so true.

Ah, now that is one of my big vices as well!!! Nothing better then a good cigar and The Glenlivet....

Next time I get in some Cubans I will send out some to you George....

Not into scotch myself - and that's hard to admit, being part Scots myself. ("Scots, or Scottish...scotch is a drink" - Sean Connery, from The Presidio if I remember right.)

A good glass of vintage port with a Fuente Fuente Opus X...now we're talking. Throw in a craps table, too! (Vegas this Friday, oh yeah baby!)

(That is, when I can find the damn Opux Xs - only one I've had lately was at Sparks' Steak House in Manhattan. $40 a stick - good thing I wasn't paying! :D Anyone know where there's a full-line Fuente dealer in New Jersey? Good thing I'll be in Tampa next week!)

I guess I can say this now since I'm not at work. Take the fucking cigar and cigarette and stick it up your ass. That is the worst part of the job, when players smoke at your table. Here's some advise , keep the dealer happy and you will more likely win, maybe not all the time but more then others. Especially in BJ, you've be amazed how much a dealer is thinking in his head that he hopes you break because of the smoke and the player breaks. It's amazing, I'll have some asshole at my table , maybe not smoking but being a prick , and man what power I have to make him loose his money. ;)

Good point,microbrew...I'm assuming most people do like I do and ask their fellow players and the dealers if they mind if you smoke. If someone does mind, you don't light up...that's just common courtesy. I usually don't even take cigars to the table games - just too crowded at a craps table for that.
