Ok my question is that when on Lithium do bipolar women not have an interest in sex? Does Lithium kill the libido or something?

Lithium is one of the commonly prescribed medications for BPD. It has nothing to do with sex drive, it stabilizes people, if that's the medication that works for them.

One of the characteristics of someone who suffers from the mania form of BPD is hypersex drive. Remember what I said about it being like someone who's hopped up on speed? Most everyone I knew who got hopped up on speed wanted to hump like a bunny.

Same way with meth. People become sex obsessed when they are on it. Thing is, after you use it a while, you become impotent. You can always identify newbie users because they can still get a hard on.

The rest of the guys will be sitting around flogging their noodle for hours watching porn and never once getting hard.

bikini mom nailed it so no need to explain. i would never actually hide someone's lithium but i have had some very, shall we say, "exciting" experiences with manic women. i am hypomanic at times and ppl tell me i can be a "handful"
