rent a hotel room for the weekend, when she is in the bathroom, go through her purse and hide her lithium.

never ever give your real name or address. ( homicidal rage is not uncommon in this population )

check your state laws and statutes concerning sex with the mentally ill. wouldnt want to break the law.

do any of you have any funny or tragic or tragically funny stories concerning bipolar women? ( i have several )

p.s. I'm really not gay for your mo's lurking to pounce me Sanel27

Probably the best crazy girl story I've got involved a girl coming into my house uninvited and unknowingly (my door wasn't locked but still), her throwing herself on me and saying "I have to be with you, I can't stop thinking about you" after I ended things with her. I've dated some crazy broads too and I'm sort of disappointed that's the best I've got.

I don't think she was bi-polar, just crazy. I do chalk up being told I'm good in bed to me being bi-polar sometimes, however. And definitely the best sex was when the emotions were the most intense which tends to come out with girls I have the best connection with. I dunno, the bi-polar thing sometimes just makes everything seem more intense, which def does translate into better sex I'd say.

Not every woman can reverse cowboy in stilleto heels. However, I particularly enjoyed the random, "I hate you, you're a fucking asshole."

Most think it gets worse with age.

But, they are just hiding it better when they are young.

They let it out once you are married. Then, it goes crazy once you have a kid.

I am going to say it again.

I think we date the same women.

On our first date she was still wearing her ankle monitor from house arrest, it had ended on the weekend and she couldn't get it removed. She was relegated to non-serious relationship status pretty quickly.....I still get the occasional hate IM or e-mail and it's two years later; Ah, to know someone still cares.....lolllollol..

Damn. You know she is good in the sack if she has an ankle monitor.

I swear they create situations to get pissed off and have rough wild sex. But, after awhile I end up being too pissed off at the shit they do to enjoy it.

Tragic, my son is married to one :worried:

Ironic, my first boyfriend (first love) was a bipolar guy.

My observation is that being intimately involved with someone who truly suffers from BPD will drive a sane person to the brink of insanity.

Hell, let's hear about some of the shit they do to piss you off and stuff.

I haven't had any experience with a bipolar person, so I don't know what their behavior is like.

My boyfriend was manic/normal. There's manic/normal, depressive/normal and truly bipolar which is swinging between manic/normal/depressive.

When they're manic the best way I would describe it is like someone who's just about hopped up out of their mind on amphetamines (without the hallucinations), including the hyper sex drive and insomnia. They're a danger to themselves and everyone around them, immature, unpredictable, impulsive, paranoid, etc.

They may be interesting to have a weekend fling with, but over the long haul it's a bitch.

I dated a man that was bi-polar. I loved him very much. Next to my marriage with my ex it was one of THE MOST toxic and destructive relationships ever. I can't say that those *in the know* didn't warn me because they did.

I think that those with these types of disorders who WANT to get help and stick to taking their meds, avoiding drugs and alcohol and go to therapy can and probably do have GREAT lives. The man that I had that relationship with did NOT fit that description.

Hey at your previous post (I'm bi-polar and have been told by doctors that the only reason I've made it as far as I have in society is due to intelligence, which I took to mean I have it pretty severe).

And you described it pretty well. It's the destructive impulses that get you - the easiest way to describe it is that you get constantly bored, no matter what you do. So you end up doing dumb things to entertain yourself, with little to not thought as to the future and the ramifications of your actions. It's basically like desperately trying to cure boredom. It takes the right person to live with someone who is bi-polar. My mom is severely bi-polar and my dad has been with her for like 30 years now.

The cool thing about the manic phases is that people seem almost drawn to you. I don't want to see it go a lot of the time since I like the attention to a degree. For me, I keep a ton of friends around, hang out with different people daily, get updated in all of my friends lives often, etc. and I find it keeps me *close* to being entertained. Training helps, creative outlets, etc. I will say that being physically attractive is the best thing you can do for yourself if you really are crazy - and then try to tone the crazy down as you get older (and also don't do anything too stupid in your youth that you can't take back and will follow you around - I barely side-stepped those ones) and you should be fine. I have found if I find a girl really hot, I'm more likely to put up with craziness for longer. Sometimes really cool falls into that category but it's hard for most people to be crazy and still be cool.

interesting!

how long of periods between the phases and how long does each one last?

have you seen some people go months and years before the manic phase? or is it a couple days a month? Does it last weeks? This is all basically the same question. lol

Nathan, it sounds like you aren't on the meds? If not, I would have to ask why. That much energy can be intoxicating but it's such a scattered energy, it creates havoc. You feel wonderful, but the reality is that your life is all over the place. You score with chicks, but being with someone who's manic, over the long haul, is exhausting and destructive. In your own words, you feel like you can tear a car apart with your bare hands but it makes your job next to impossible. I know you already self medicate with weed. Why don't you go on something so you're in more control?

I loved a manic depressive and he nearly killed us both several times going down roads that were marked 25 at 80+. He drove off and left me in the middle of nowhere at 2:00 in the morning, he slammed a door in my face so hard the glass shattered out toward me. On one particularly memorable night he wrecked two cars, punched a hole in the wall of his parents house and tore the front door off the hinges (he got coded that night).

MM your K message was so spot on. I FINALLY ended the relationship with my bipolar bf when he left me for dead. Don't care to get into specifics but lets say he slept well knowing full well that I may not have been alive when he woke. Nice guy.... eh?

Nathan, can you feel when the manic phase is coming back? Or do you one day just wake up and realize that for the last several weeks you have been in the phase without actually realizing it?

Nathan said:
Jeez man, everyone is trashing the bi-polar peeps. try not to forget whatever attracted you all to them in the first place - the key is to try to take that and incorporate it more into your life than the negative aspects of it. I basically try to isolate myself when I feel destructive.

Please, please don't take any of this as bashing!! For me it's interesting as hell to be able to talk to someone who has so much personal insight to their condition, I shit you not. You are unique, seriously (ooooo, fascinating, let's put him under a microscope and study him *evil cackle*).

I actually wasn't attracted to a bipolar person. My boyfriend was "normal" and went through a very long, horribly stressful experience (a very difficult basic training in which he kept getting recycled) and his mania manifested. Our relationship changed when he started flipping and it slowly fell apart.

There are people who are attracted to that kind of energy but not me, I was hanging on, waiting for the mania to pass to see my boyfriend come out again. I didn't like the person it made him into, especially since I knew what he used to be like.

And like I said, and your doctors have told you, the amount of personal observation you have is unique.

Bipolar women are the shit! Who wants a boring life?

i have always been attracted to crazy women. i like 'em crazier than a sack of roaches! i have been with knock down gorgeous women who were " normal " and i had absolutely no interest in them.

i have always said, you could glue a skate to the top of my head, flip me over and roll me into an auditorium with 10'000 women and i would roll to the craziest bitch in there.

of course it is me! I am the common denominator. we all have a sort of "radar" and we attract ppl who validate what we subconsciously think about ourselves.

The last chick I dated, she took a detour through crazy town and her assertion was that men are just as crazy as wiminz. My response, "What have I done that was crazy?" Her response,"Nothing, but I've dated......"

I didn't read the newer posts on this thread lately but have a question...

You say take away the Lithium and the sex is wild and great.

Ok my question is that when on Lithium do bipolar women not have an interest in sex? Does Lithium kill the libido or something?

Lithium is one of the commonly prescribed medications for BPD. It has nothing to do with sex drive, it stabilizes people, if that's the medication that works for them.

One of the characteristics of someone who suffers from the mania form of BPD is hypersex drive. Remember what I said about it being like someone who's hopped up on speed? Most everyone I knew who got hopped up on speed wanted to hump like a bunny.

Same way with meth. People become sex obsessed when they are on it. Thing is, after you use it a while, you become impotent. You can always identify newbie users because they can still get a hard on.

The rest of the guys will be sitting around flogging their noodle for hours watching porn and never once getting hard.

bikini mom nailed it so no need to explain. i would never actually hide someone's lithium but i have had some very, shall we say, "exciting" experiences with manic women. i am hypomanic at times and ppl tell me i can be a "handful"

thanks myway,

i bet you a little bipolar......huh?
i saw your pic......it is in the eyes.

i am a recovered womanizer.

my mom had borderline personality disorder.
boy, that made for an interesting childhood lol.
she wasn't really capable of mature love but
she did her best and at least, she "adored" me.

i believe we adopt our definition of love from
primary caregivers. my definition of love from
a woman has always included adoration and
excessive attention......not good. it has made
for some rocky relationships with unstable
women. therapy and self awareness have
helped much and i have an almost "normal"
relationship with my wife.

infirm women provided me with a shaky if
not dichotomous version of love i was so
familiar with in my youth. it was always a
subconscious attempt to fix the chaos of my
childhood. we all do it to some extent, it is
part of the price we pay for our being human.

the sex was ALWAYS great. when people can't
be intimate, they will take compensatory
measures i.e. intense sex, adoration, enmeshment.

i still love bipolar and various other disordered
women. if i find a woman overly attractive, 100
dollars to a bucket of shit, she is a french fry or
two, shy of a happy meal.
