Which one of you secretly likes watching chic flix?

I admit it. I like happy endings. Wife is dragging me to Fool's Gold tonight. At least I am letting her think she is dragging me there.

I loved the Notebook. It is one of my top 10 movies of all time. (The rest are action and sci-fi)

one of the few i have actually cried during. it hits hard bc my father is like that woman was (not nearly as bad). he has dementia and has difficulty remembering me.

damn bro ....sorry to hear that - i couldnt even imagine

I hate the average chick flick because they're poorly written and made to appeal to women's trendy social emotions. Like the people in such movies rarely are going through any "real" hardship, yet they're protrayed as such. I do have a softspot for those kiddie animated movies..........both Ice ages had me rolling. I'm probably going to go see Wall-e, the digital animation looks unreal........but I'm not going alone, that just looks creepy.

i agree alot are unrealistic. i keep that in mind. i think of them as purely entertainment and not to really come away with anything from them other than a good time.

It wasnt a bad movie at all. A sort of national treasure romantic comedy.

she had me convinced it was a war time love story or some shit, well fuck me running it was nothing like that at all. sure there was maybe 5 minutes in the movie dude was at war but nobody got shot,I was pissed

I can get my hubby to watch some of them. He went with me to see 27 Dresses :) Of course during some scenes he was joking and pretending like he was going to cry, but what a guy to go with me :)

Better half dragged me to Fool's Gold.

:lmao:

It was a cute feel good movie - guys will like it because it had adventure, guys with guns and thing that spear, planes, boats and chicks in bikinis.

And the lead actor I can't think of his name, looks pretty good naked so it was win win.

LOL I took my poor husband to see this thinking it would have enough action for him

but he was sooo bored , he kept checking his watch and moving in his seat and sighing.

LOL. I liked it , I thought it was pretty good - my husband hates matthew mcconigay or whatever his name is . I should have known.

I really like Kate Hudson. She is so cute.

I dont think he hates him as a person. Just his movies except one older one where he was a dragon fighter or something.

the wedding planner... How to lose a guy in 10 days... Sahara....

Matthew makes my blood boil in a good way, but he makes some really CRAPPY movies. I liked that movie Frailty he was in, though.

That accent and bod makes me wanna kiss his eyelids. YUM

He like him in that movie with the dragons? OMFG that was crap!!! Only movies he was ever good in was "dazed and confused" and "a time to kill".

He does have possibly the best quote of all time in a movie.

"I may be getting older, but the chicks..........they just keep staying the saaaaaammmmeee aaaaagggge"..............ROFL

LOL! Yep thats the movie! hahalol

I refuse to watch out and out chick flicks. If there isn't a comedy or horror or drama that both parties can enjoy, then there's no movie being seen. Why should one half of the tandem be miserable for 2 hours? I'll watch the action movies when she's not around, she can watch the estrogen-soaked drivel when I'm not around. Everybody wins.

AGREED!

Although we do on occassion torture each other with movies at home that the other isn't wild about.

GOTTA ADMIT IT, as much as I see the end and think to my self yeah fuckin right I have to admit it's nice to see.

I really like that movie with Ashton Kutcher and Britney Murphy...was a little more on the comedy side and had some guy aspects but I believe you could call it a "chick flick"
