Shadow.....for what it's worth, we share the same opinions on raw lifts. my big issue is with people who see a thread like this and think it is a platform for them to voice their opinion on that. People mention bodyfat, well for what it's worth I would never personally want to weigh over a certain amount, I will also never have world-class strength, I am not saying I'd have world class strength at a much higher bodyweight, but what I mean is, if everybody felt like that, the best lifts in the world would be a little less impressive. That's why there's vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry ice cream, something for everybody.
As far as conditioning, he's better conditioned that your average sedintary American who weighs as much as he does.....but come on, how conditioned can he be? But, who cares?? Getting 'conditioned' would be counter-productive to what he does. The guy who won the NY Marathon can't squat very much weight, but who cares?? If he trained his squat it would be counter-productive to what he does.
My issue is when someone starts a thread like this....just giving the news.....and some fool takes it upon themselves to compare apples to oranges (yeah, I cut my cals and am hungry, hence all the references to food items, lol). Things like "Ronnie Coleman could lift that if he ate twinkies and taco bell"...."He can't do that raw"....that type of crap.....it's like somebody posting that the world record in the mile run was broken and a bodybuilder saying "who gives a shit, I'd rather have big muscles than be a toothpick running a sub-4 minte mile".....just basically there is always somebody who says something where the only logical response would be "what the fuck are you talking about, bro?".
