Biceps tendonitis

I think its starting to develop in my right shoulder in particular.

I'm making sure I stretch my pecs a lot. Yesterday I had a remedial massage to help break up some of the scar tissue. I was showed how to do it myself... Physically push and move the tendon. Its quite painful and takes a lot of willpower to put yourself through it with your own hands. Anyway, I'll be going back to see her again. She was really good and pointed out a lot of weaknesses and imbalances I need to address.

What are some other solutions/remedies/preventative techniques people use for this problem? I don't want to let it get close to putting a halt to any of my workouts...

Are you overtraining that particular part of your body? The shoulder area is easily overtrained if your not resting enough.

ice the area after you train , and alternate ice and heat a few times a day , advil helps. Definately ice it after aggressive message.
As far as prevention i have no real clue, I used to have this problem all the time and I just doesn't happen all that much anymore. I know for me , straight bar preachers where a definate culprit as a cause.

I'm definately not overtraining anything right now.

I'll start icing it. I haven't been doing any bicep work.

I know quite a few people from this board have had this problem, or still do...
