Hello my beautiful lady friends!! ;)

Question: Will my left bicep ever be as round as my right bicep? They're not totally uneven............I am lifting the same amount as my right arm. But since I am right-handed, I guess this is the reason for the form. Any suggestions or comments??

Thanks sweeties!

i have this same problem, i've tried different things and nothing worked. my husband has one that is more peaked than the other. i think it is pretty normal, kinda like one foot bigger than the other or one boob, etc :p

I got the same prob too, but even though i am right handed, my left bicep is a lot bigger and stronger...weird...i know. I just lift more with my right. My left can curl 10lbs more than my right! Now that is a big difference. I guess like Tex said, it is just something that happens.

whats really strange is i don't really notice a difference in strength from one to the other, unless i'm arm wrestling!! (lol) and i'm actually left handed, but my right bicep is much prettier than the left!

That sucks :bawling:

I thought maybe lifting more with my left arm would help, but Pauly said no, lift the same.

Why wouldn't that work??? Has anyone ever tried that??? It makes sense to me!!! :)

You can't change the shape, but you can make it bigger. It's entirely normal; even the best had different shaped biceps (arnold). Train both arms the same way.

Azia, its not that uncommon for this to happen, one arm is stronger then the other, its normal. If your right handed, ur going to do more things with that arm then u would do with ur left.

Try to make sure u count how many reps you do. If you can do 12reps on your right arm,,,and 10 on ur left,, Then only do 10reps on the right and 10reps on the left.:D

The reason lifiting more with one arm is not a good idea is b/c u may end up with the same problem, now on the other arm.

Imbalances come from one arm being stronger then the other. if u do alot of barbell or machine work,,this could be the problem.

So try to use dumbells for as many exercises as possible:D

I also have this problem! although both my arms are puny my right bicep is some what bigger and doesn't seem to fatigue as quickly as my left but the odd thing is that it's just the opposite for my triceps.
CC.

azia it doesnt have anything to do with if you are right handed or left handed, its just the way your muscle was "made' so to say..its genetics...perfect example is lee priest..one of his arms has like a softball type peak to it and the other is just "normal" HUGE difference in shape and appearnce.... i am righty and my right arm when measuered is bigger than my left by a small amount, but my left tricep is much bigger...its weird, it just happens. but shape wise and when i hit a double bicep pose they look the same..where in your case they dont.

if you said the size was different an not the shape then maybe you can attribute it to being right handed

I also have that lopsidedness by about 1/2 inch. I also notice that one leg gets better results than the other. Consider this - I'm a right but my left arms is bigger - perhaps since that is the least coordinated arm, I will do the intricate work w/ my right arm but use the left arm for the stabilizing work. Could be the same with my legs.

The funny thing is that some days the right side is stronger, some days the left. Go figure...?

Hey darlin'...........I ALWAYS use dumbells!! I'm currently on 15lb. dumbells, but I think next week I'll be moving up to 20lb. dumbells. I do the same amount of reps.........set of 3 - 8 times. Maybe should I try to do 10 or 12 times before moving onto 20lbs.?? I'm seeing vast improvement, so I don't want to fuck anything up!
:insane:

BTW - thank you

WOOHOOOO 15lbs!!!! Good for u chickie!

Is doing 8 reps hard for u or is it a piece of cake? r u forcing any of the reps?? I would try to do 12 reps before moving up to 20lbs.

No, I'm not forcing anything.........actually, each day it gets easier and easier! Yeah, I'll wait and do 12 reps until I'm comfy with that, then I'll move up to 20lbs.................it ROCKS!

yay meeeeeee

Azia,

Here's the way I see it. It's not necessarily about shape and size, it's more about coordination. I'm right-handed, but my left bicep is stronger than the right. But, it doesn't look near as good. It's because my right arm is so much more coordinated, and I know exactly what to do when I want to make my right arm look big and cut. It's almost like I can fine-tune which little muscles to flex in the right spots. But, my left arm is so much less coordinated, and i just can't get a good and precise flex with that arm.

How I am remedying that situation:

Before, when i wanted to look in the mirror and flex, I flexed with my right arm every time. Now, every time I flex, I use my left arm. Gradually it's becoming more coordinated, and the shape is coming out. In other words, the shape has always been there, but my brain didn't know how to tell my muscle to make that shape. Now, it's learning, and my left bicep is catching up.

Try concentrating on that left arm every time you do a little "vanity pose" in the morning, you'll be surprised at the changes.
