Best workout music

Ok, guys, it's not anabolic, but no one else (other boards) lift as hard as the anabolic-bros.

What's your favorite, hard-core, kick-ass workout music?

My top two right now are Tool, Sober and Motorhead, The Game (yes, Triple-H's theme song.. this thing makes me wanna kill weights when I lift, I love it).

well

I've said this before and I'll say it again. Go download some music by the group Pro-Pain. They are only for the hardcore. Download the songs "Switchblade Knife" and my favorite "Make War, Not Love"

Trust me, you'll love it if you love hardcore.

I listen to hardcore (digital hardcore). A lot of people don't even know what it is, but it'll definately pump u up. Check out music from neophyte, rob gee, and dj promo if you want to check it out:fro:

Yes add that as well. :)

the last system of a down album is an awesome workout disc.

Which one is that? (name?)

Thanks for all the responses so far. I'm having a hard time getting the digital hardcore stuff, most people's shares aren't working, but I'll keep trying. Pro-pain sounds like old Gwar. :)

I have one burned disc that I listen to over and over... some of them are: Eminem -Soldier(eminem show),CWB w/ Haystak, 3 doors down-loser, and of course some Stevens Brothers stuff.

Shai hulud-hearts once nourished with hope and compassion
Hatebreed-satisfaction is the death of desire
DMX-and then there was X
At the gates-slaughter of the soul
Stretch arm strong- rituals of life
AC/DC-live

It really depends on my mood as to what I listen to. Most of the time I listen to music on the way to the gym but not while I am training(but once I get a good CD belt that will change).

HOUSE MUSIC......

Little Luie Vega
Eric Marrilo
Todd Terry
Jonathan Peters (sound factory main DJ)
Danny Tenaglia
any subliminal sessions
well those are just a few........

Hardcore is awsome!
House music is for fucking pussies!

If you don't know it already Jungle/Drum and Bass is the future of dance music. Funky breaks with rolling basslines, the music has the most energy of any and it will get any hardcore peeps dancing in a second! In the US - AK1200 - DJ Dara - Deiselboy

Techno & house aint goin NO WHERE! :fro:

Well one quick thing buddy....what was the music that shaped or paved the way for jungle and all other genres of the kind????
HOUSE!!!!
I am a true house head and grew up with it....you can like what you want but the question was

"Ok, guys, it's not anabolic, but no one else (other boards) lift as hard as the anabolic-bros.

know what the question is before entering an arena which you have no clue about.....I can school you in the music you listen to....ohh and about dancing...you bring to me some one who can flow to jungle in a club and who has true rythm....(keep in mind I do not down drum and base, or jungle...I apreciate all genres of the music that made it possible) and to top that off....I am a dancer and have had documenteries made about me on T.V.
CHew on that...........

(bro's sorry about this post.....but I hate people who don't know how to answer the question that was asked and try to down the knowledge of some one else......) Keep it real!!!

It's a personal thing....

I've never liked metal. I'm amazed that at my current gym they insist on playing the heavy rock station when most people don't care for it. One morning, the kid opening put on a CD of heavy metal--satanic lyrics--and we just looked at each other with WTF?

I like a good rythym, but I prefer positive lyrics if any. This keeps up I'll just have to bring my MP3 player with me and headphones.

linkin park??? please they sound like a bunch of whining pretty boy pussies...garbage..... I would have to say

SLAYER
SLIPKNOT
SIX FEET UNDER
MUSHROOMHEAD

the best is ELETRONICA and PROGRESSIVE HOUSE
favorite DJ's are Sasha, John Digweed, Pete Tong, Eric Morillo, Paul Oak.
I have tons of mp3's from "Essential Mix" from BBC Radio 1

Its funny how the mood of the board changes on different days. Someone else put up a thread like this a month or two ago and it got flamed down to hell and back and was moved within hours. Now this one is getting a good reception. Personally I'm glad to see it, the fina, clomid and first cycle posts do get a bit boring after a while......Go B, go!!

BTW, on music, I saw Aerosmith in concert with STP last week, it friggin' rocked!! Hope I can rock like that in 20 years! Also, Steve Tyler and Joe Perry are both in pretty good shape for mid-50s.........

Sometimes I listen to DJ tunes, but for the most part rock is the best.

Linkin Park, POD, Staind, Creed, Limp Bizkit, Nickelback & Metallica.

agreed...besides jungle (also known as drum n' bass) has been around for a while now and i don't see it going anywhere in the future...in general, people in clubs want to dance at some slower than 120 beats per second and with lyrics.

My choice of words was offensive, sorry. I too enjoy all genres but as I said before house is dead and techo is going no where. Im not gloating, like you obviously are, but im a very good dancer and I flow to dnb, you can't flow without rythm. Rythm...hmm.. Anyone who has a concept of what rythm really is, would know that drum and bass is the selection. Its all about the breaks. But I guess its all opinion. True drum and bass junkies can't like house.

Whats your fav Danny Tenaglia CD? My fav is him on the Back to Mine series. Thats real music.

What are your fav dnb dubs at the moment?

PANfuckingTERA

NOTHIN PUMPS ME UP MORE THAN PANTERA ESP. WHEN IT COMES TO WORKING OUT. FAR BEYOND DRIVEN IS BY FAR THE MOST SICKEST CRAZIEST METAL ALBUM OUT THERE AND I FUCKING LOVE IT. ALOT PEOPLE HERE WHO ARE MENTIONING LINKIN PARK, POD AND ALL THAT WEAK SHIT TO BE METAL NEED TO GET THEY'RE FUCKING EARS CHECKED CUZ IT'S FAR FROM METAL. SLAYER IS GREAT TO WORK OUT TO AS WELL AND METALLICA IF IT'S OLD SHIT. IT'S GOTTA BE "AND JUSTICE FOR ALL" IF I CHOOSE METALLICA. I GOTTA AGREE THAT SYSTEM OF A DOWN ESP. PRISON SONG GET'S ME PUMPED UP, AN AMAZING BAND AS WELL. TRY SLIPKNOT IF U WANNA GET FIRED UP IN THE GYM, MASTERPIECE

gopak and polka music... j/k :D
I don't know, lately I just lift with no music whatsoever... I just concentrate hard on what I do and try to do it right... it's nothing more irratating than ripping your earphones off and they hang on just one of your ears in the middle of your biceps curls, etc... I'm sure a lot of you experienced that...

Far Beyond Dispute

Have to agree again, IMHO

SLAYER IS GREAT TO WORK OUT TO AS WELL AND METALLICA IF IT'S OLD SHIT. IT'S GOTTA BE "AND JUSTICE FOR ALL" IF I CHOOSE METALLICA.

And, he scores the hat trick on this one! (and Master of Puppets)

the uk is the place for dance music.
jungle is more jumpy then DnB. they are not the same. sorry.
house music paved the way for all dance music. funky house is wicked.
i love trance music for the gym. uplifting and gets u pumped.
happy hardcore is wicked as well. really fast and sets the tone for workout intensity. as does some good hard house.
but i love the cheesy rocky tunes when lifting hard weights.
e.g. robert tepper - no easy way out
and hearts on fire.

but dance music is by far the best because the regular beats just make it so much better. and easier to listen to. and it makes u wana dance which in the gym translates as making u want to move and pump hard.

I agree 100% I like Down too, and Sepultura and Machine Head!

Depends on my mood. Sometimes house or trance, anything with a good beat. Sometimes I like stuff that makes me angry- DMX or anything else lound and angry.

"true dat" on the house/electronica/trance stuff.

Nuttin' better than that stuff to get the pump started.

I need to throw some new stuff in my MP3 player, now that I'm thinking about it.

I like kelly clarkson followed by Enrique Iglesias, then a little brittney and some n'sync....Oh shit, thats right, thats what my lame ass gym plays all f-in day long

I prefer Slayer-Apetite for Destruction

If you were living in The Netherlands I would think you workout in the same gym as me. We can even watch the daily soap episodes during cardio on nice big projection tv's.

I like all non-classical music as long as it's house/techno/trance/etc and the volume is loud enough.

Metallica's 'And justice for all'....old shit ?...that's like their 5th album...fuck that shit. 'Kill'em All' and 'Ride the Lightning', that is the shit bro !

TWO STEP, GARAGE, TRIP HOP, ACID JAZZ,ACID HOUSE, NOTHING BUT BANGING BEATS SOME TO GET YOUR MIND THINKING ABOUT SHIT (trip-hop) make you pump harder, and others to make you feel the base line and groove in your soul...makes you want to pump harder knowing that in a few days you will be in the club lookin alright....lol...

Disturbed, Limp Bizkit, metallica, Guns N Roses. These are my favorites.. Whatever pumps you up. some people probably get jacked to Garth Brooks and that's cool too
