You certainly have a nice build. . I am really impressed with your upper body (very lean) and the overall development of the lower body (nice and tight. . good muscle tone). . you are certainly doing something right.

Thanks everyone! I've been doing a 5x5 since August. I really like it. I'm not too good with any kind of dieting though :rolleyes:. I think I'm going to try some sort of diet starting January 2. I'm also trying to decide on a new workout program to start in January. Haven't made up my mind yet.

It's great to hear good feedback. I was pretty down about the not so great progress and the increased BF (but it could be wrong). I really need to work on a better diet. I still have a lot of work to do on lower body.
 
You definitely made some HUGE progress. I bet the bf% is wrong. How did you get it tested?
 
Looking good! You've definately made improvement. You have a better body shape, and you look a lot more defined and toned.

Thanks. I had a caliper test done both times at my gym by the same person. I want to get tested in the BodPod. There's a children's hospital near me that has 2, but I haven't found a way to use one yet. I wish a college near me had one.

Everyone's comments have been so flattering *blushing*. Makes me want to go to the gym instead of work. LOL.
 
Your hips look smaller...the shorts are a bit looser from what I can see. Your legs look more muscular, which could account for the added weight, but just to reiterate what the others have said, there is no way you've added 1% BF!
 
You look great, lucid. Looks like you definitely have dropped some BF. The caliper test must have been done incorrectly. What time of day was it? How many sites on your body? Anyway, looks like some lean mass has been added too. Excellent work.
 
First, you are very attractive - before or after shots. Duh, you know that, you don't need some chump on the net to tell you that.

However, something isn't right. You *look* better developed but if the stats are to be believed, you gained a half pound of fat and only 1.5 pounds of lean body mass. So the numbers are either wrong or the lighting is just making you look better developed and you really aren't.

Maybe tell us a little about your routine and your diet.

as everyone has mentioned, you couldn't have added 1%, and I really don't think you were 24% in the first pic either.

nice tattoo BTW....someone I know has one either the same as or very similar to that....where'd you get it done (if you don't mind me asking)?
 
the only accurate way to guage your progress is to get checked with the hydro. i am having a hard time seeing much progress although your waist does look slimmer and lower back definitely looks like it is holding less fat. the lighting is different in the two sets and that skews our perception also. if you feel like you have made the progress you wanted and feel good, stick with it. if you feel you have fallen short, re-evaluate your program and tune it for better results. keep working hard

You know I'd have something nice to say. You're quads have really responded! You also have calves like my wife (wish I did) she's 4'11", so she had to stand on her toes to do everything, LOL.

One of my friends designed the tattoo for me and then I got it done at tattoo parlor that works from mostly original designs (PM me if you want more info).

Devastation, I agree with you... I haven't made a great amount of progress. However, I've added muscle to my legs, arms and a bit to my back. I don't think I've really lost any BF though. The lighting is different in the pics, b/c we couldn't remember how we had it last time. Also, it's a different camera. My problem lies in my diet and my lack of interest in drastically changing the way I eat. I work out hard at the gym and I'm sure there would be a very noticeable change in my body if I attempted dieting. I'm going to give a cleaner diet a try in January.

I know it is a little old, but I wanted to compliment you on these before and afters. Your legs responded and you can see improvement all the way around. Hard work paying off. Good for you!
 
Thanks everyone... I keep forgetting this thread was moved here from the training board and I forget to check it. Right now I'm trying to lose some BF. Going to try a moderate cutting diet for 2 months. Just lowering my calories and keeping protein/carbs/fat at equal ratios.

I want to change my training program from the 5x5 for a bit, but I haven't had time to sit down and research what I want to do. I'll post more pics after this diet is over.

You're definitely leaner looking in the waist area and around the back tattoo. Really impressive changes. Keep up the great work!

Can't wait to take new pics to see what difference this diet has made. All these compliments are making this miserable diet well worth it.
 
I can't wait for you to take new pics either. I would have never thought THAT ass would be under the shorts in those pics. I mean DAMN! So round it hurts.

How are you measuring your body fat?

Had it done both times by the same person with calipers, only a 3 point test. I realize this is very inaccurate. I want to get in done in the BodPod. I'd love to know what my real BF is, but I don't think I could stand to do hydrostatic.
 
I'm not buying the bodyfat level either. You'd have to be blind not to see the increased muscularity in the 2nd set of pics.
 
I think I'm going to have to post some new "after" pics soon. I've been dieting and I think I'm showing some good improvement. I'm aiming to get them up sometime next week.
 
I noticed your shoulders & abs are lookin tremendous in your gallery.

I was planning on posting some a few weeks ago and got busy with other stuff. I'll post some in the next couple week... I mean it this time. My avatar is from yesterday (there's a larger version in my gallery). There's a few pics in my gallery that are from February. The most recent pics in the link on this thread are from October.

Just from looking at your avatard, you are showing excellent improvements! Great work and dedication, you have really improved since your first set of pics. You should be really happy that the hard work is paying off!! Post up some more pics showing off that beautiful body your building.
