Barry's Chances In Key State Could Hinge On Marijuana

any politicians left who think the government shouldn't control what we can put in our own bodies?

exactly man; it is harmless. and if you end up harming a person or their property under the influence, then you will answer for those crimes. one has to be pretty brainwashed by society to believe in his heart that government should have a say in what chemicals he's allowed to ingest/inhale.

I would much rather see someone on pot that oxys. Between fat people, pill heads, meth heads. Wtf?? Has anyone ever looked over the constitution. Half the government in place violates the shit out of. The criminal justice system is for making money. If you don't have cash in this country your fucked. Anyone been to prison. What fun. The only people in there are broke people. If you have cash there are no laws in this country.

Some people can use at least coke recreationally with no problems whatsoever, just like some people can use pot.

most of the "recreational" coke users that i've known in my life were actually closet addicts...that shit is waaaayyyyyy too much fun and it directly effects that primitive part of your brain that deals with pleasure and what-not...scary and dangerous.

i did coke in high school. Never cared much for it. pot was always drug of choice

Who the fuck is Barry

I agree to a point.

The problem with hard drugs like meth, crack, etc is that they actually mess up people and AND society around them.

I am a strong propenent against drug and alcohol use in any shape or form, but I realize also that those that choose to want to use tobacco and alcohol should be able to. The only reason I say "no" to weed is that I don't think cigarette's shold be legal in the first place and legaizing more drugs that truly aren't going to have a positive influence on society is not a step forward, it's a step back, and govt regulation (to a certain degree) is a posiitve thing. That's on a personal opinion level. On a more unbiased perspective, weed isn't the worst thing ever and filling up prison cells with small-qty possession charges is a bit ridiculous and people should be able to choose what they want to do.

The shittiest thing about marijuana is that hemp got thrown into the same category. If hemp were legal in the U.S. to grow it would have a huge effect on our economy in a positive way.

I wish there was a way to forfeit all social assistance in exchange for a drug license.

If someone isn't being forced to subsidize the user, I'd support legalization of all drugs.

RS says all natural pot smoke wood increase productivity in society

i think that's a pretty good idea. drug use could limit the extent of the welfare and healthcare benefits you are entitled to

Hers a little litmus test, has any episode of Intervention centered on a marijuana problem?

My wife and I are growers. She has her recommendation and we are politically active in supporting the cause for decriminalization of marijuana. I have spoken before my county's Board of Supervisors and have been an outspoken critic in said meetings and in our local paper. So much so that one of the supes tried (unsuccessfully)to get me fired from my job. My wife is our county's representative for Collective Patient Resources, an organization that helps those in need of MMJ.

Anyway, the Fed will not be deterred from cracking down on marijuana. This administration has never said it would decriminalize marijuana. In fact, there have been more "busts" in the first 3 years of this administration than in all of Bush' 8 years!!!

There's too much money to be had for law enforcement, prisons and their respective special interests. If the "War On Drugs" were to be called off, a lot of pink slips would have to be handed out as well as a lot of taxpayer dollars would go away.

This is all anyone really needs to know about why the WOD is still going on and MJ is still illegal federally.

Libertarian Gary Johnson. Former two-term Governor of New Mexico. He's fiscally conservative, socially liberal, and he's got my vote.

He also realizes the War on Drugs has been a huge fail. He is for the decriminalization of marijuana

I'm debating on whether I write Ron Paul in or vote for Johnson. They're both for decriminalization. My wife and I are registered Libertarians although I did switch parties to vote for Ron Paul in the CA Primary this last Tuesday.
