Bad gear? or unsterile injections???

What do you guys think of all the "is this an abcess" threads? Just seems there is at least 2-3 of these threads every day...
Even a few years ago these questions were not posted this many times a day, so my question to you all is

are some of these new ug labs unsterile? or is it just bros not being sterile while injecting?

Just thinking with 20 new ug labs popping up a week mmmmmmmmm i dont know..... just wanted other bros opinions....

Could be alot of different factors, but I would have to think that its unsterile injection practices of the user more than not.A product is sterile untill it is opened...once you break the rubber stopper it will never be sterile again.....so if your not clean, dont use new needels every time your changes of getting an abcess increases greatly...Can anyone else think of other things that my contribute to an abcess?

I wash my hands before any injection. Also wipe the top of the rubber stopper with 1 alcohol pad, then switch the needle to a 21ga and draw.

Then I put the 25ga back on (keeping the needle guard on the entire time until just before I inject). Then I use a new alcohol pad to wipe the area I plan on injecting, and take off the 25ga needle guard, then inject.

Voila - never had any problems doing things this way. Might be a little paranoid, but since it's always worked I don't plan on changing anything.

That the exact way that I do it also.
I would venture to say that it is more the unsterile injection techniques of users rather than unsterile gear by UG's.
Who knows it could be both though.
Did anyone see the neck abcess on the other thread?
I almost threw up my lunch after seeing that.
If that doesn't make you take sterility issues seriously then I don't know what will.

it is still considered sterile until something unsterile enters it. Did yo uknow that urine is considered sterile until you drop a pub in it or put your finger in it. Granite it is full of shit but it is considered sterile for testing purposes.

I think that there are more young idiots that don't wipe their asses properly then inject without washing themselves or clean equipment.

I do the same here.

gotta think it is a lil of unsterile gear and a lil of reusing the needles. i usually only have a few needls lying around so i have to wipe them down and wash them out with alcohol. if i could i would use a new one every time. i do use the above techniques wipe the stoppers, draw pin, clean hands, etc.

with a clean pin i would have to blame the gear. some folks may be more prone than others to infection tho?????????

Why do you not have access to needles?
That sounds like too much of a hastle.
Buy a bunch, use it once and dispose.

yeah I should def buy in bulk. I always end up getting the pins off my supplier. and with the drought on everything these days just getting gear is a favor between friends where I am. The fly by night cycles I have been doing is def a bad move on my part.
