Bad Bruise

Last Sunday I did my first shoulder injection. It did not go well. My hands always shake, thus I moved the needle around when I was in the muscle and when I pulled the needle out I bled pretty bad. Of course it bruised up, but it is now a week from the shot and the bruise continues to get worse. Now my bicep and tricep are bruised. Practcally my whole upper arm. It is starting to get that yellowish color to it. The first 2 days it was red and pretty warm, but that went away. I can still train, there is no pain to it, just a nasty bruise. Is this normal? My sister saw it today and was like what the hell is wrong with your arm? I told her I banged it against something. She was like yeah right and roled her eyes.

Just a thought for next time, ice the area for 20 minutes and take 600mg of ibuprofen (advil) it this ever happens again, you know your hand shaking during injecting. The advil acts as an anti-inflamatory and will reduce the swelling and bruising as well as the ice. If you had done this you would not have had any bruise.
Just remeber this for next time.

As for the bruise now, if it does not hurt and you are not in pain then you should be fine. Most likely you just ruptured some blood vessels during your injection.

Sincerely :nopity:

I also bruised like that after shoulder injections before the summer. It was wierd. No pain, just big black/blue/yellow all up my tri and down to elbow. It happened like three times.

I had a bruise on my quad for at least a weak one time and it's probably just due to the fact that you went through a vein and their is alot of blood trapped under your skin.

I just want this shit to go away. It is pretty nasty. Atleast I can cover it up now since it is the winter.
