I thought it was pretty obvious that I was stirring the PC-pot.
Didn't some monk immolate himself and gain mild infamy some years ago? I mean, I think this video's mildly amusing/interesting (as in, "cool, that's what happens when you're buring alive"), but it doesn't affect me more than, say, Gibson shouting FREEEEDOOOOMMM. It's not my place to judge other people/cultures/rules/behaviors based on absolutely no information about what's going on. I sure as fuck don't feel empathy for obese celebs showing pictures of starving children; this isn't that different to me, and you're not getting my money by pretending to give a shit about either.
