AvP...is it that hard to make a decent move or game with these two concepts?

AvP is decent according to reviews so far. It's no Goldeneye though. Or Batman: AA. The idea is easy but it takes good execution to turn it into something exceptional.

Really though, how good can a game called "Alien Vs. Predator" actually ever hope to be? They might as well also make a "Freddy Vs. Jason" game.

Heck it's still a masterpiece compared with say Mortal Kombat or Street Fighter.

the first AvP game on the atari jaguar was pretty gangster at the time
