Avoiding quad nerve

Anyone have a special formula to find a nice place on the quad that doesn't have a nerve? I like quad injects - usually relatively painless and gives me 2 extra spots to rotate when I am doing as many shots a week as I am. However, it is the one place I always find a nerve in - like a land mine field down there.

I take my hand, place my finger tips loosely near my knee cap rotate it to let's say 11 o'clock?? Right where the palm of my hand is is where I swab. Right dead center of my palm too. Not right on top of my quad but like I an trying to explain just outside. About 7-8 inches above my knee cap. I heat my full barrel, and insert it real slow in hopes of avoiding a nerve. Knock on wood, never hit on yet. Hope it helps bro. That's just my experience.

Top outer quad seems to have less nerves to hit bro....
i like to inject quads nice and slow with a 1.25 inch 23 guage pin.....you can slightly sqeeze the muscle while pushing in then slowly release the muscle when the pin is where you want it...then aspirate.
dont know why but i am always more likely to hit a nerve on my left leg, anywho....nice and slow is the way to go ! :)

Thanks guys - I'll give those measurements a try. I always go waaaaaaay slow on quad injects. Just started doing them again and haven't hit one yet, but could feel I was in the general area of one and I remember how much it shocks the system to hit one. Bound to happen over my 10 ED pinning cycle. It's like cranking a jack in the box...

good tips above.

what i do is draw a cross on my quad. from knee to quad, and from left to right. then hit the upper outer quadrant like said above.

also i've noticed the way i sit effects the injection. make sure you are sitting where your leg is relaxed and calm

I don't care if I hit a nerve I pause and keep going only time I pull out is if I hit a vein blood will shoot and I don't wanna waste any

I used to hit nerves when I shot with my knee bent now I do it with my leg propped up on the couch or bed or standing up relaxed and have never hit one

I love quads so much room too put the needle I shoot em 4 times a week on my current cycle

Man Quad injects are either painless and smooth like a hot knife through butter and you dont even notice the damn thing, OR, you hit every vein and nerve possible. I hate the tingly feeling when youre in the ball park of a nerve it bothers me like nails on a chalkboard and makes me cringe! Just thinking about it made my leg and brain hurt lol

PS: Guess its time to torment myself with my 2nd cycle....geeeez

Dont understand why not just do delt. I mean the position may not be very comfortable, but theres no pain on my end. Everyone has there preferences though. I think you should give delt a shot.

absorbation is better in larger muscles

I don't do my delts because I absolutely would not be able to aspirated with one hand with out jabbing the needle all over the place and or creating a huge air bubble. with my quads I can use both hands. One working the plunger the other holding it nice and steady.

you cannot keep pinning the same spot over and over.

so for me I go delt, then quads left, quads right..

i do not aspirate. i used to but now I don't see a point.. a lot of times you hit blood on the way out, not on the way in. so aspirating is kinda half hearted and pointless IMO

Its a safety Precaution.

And I ussually just switch between delts. Aspirating with one hand is a bit difficult, but you get used to it after a time or 2

I switch it up. Mondays pin is in the right quad. Thursdays pin is left quad. they have a week to recover and I move the spot just a little each time. No good???

Thats fine, youre not going to develop that much scar tissue that fast...I did that my first cycle also.

I hit a major nerve the first time I did a quad injection. It felt like my leg was on fire for hours afterwards. Scared me out of doing quad injections for a while, but I tried it again and never had anything like that happen again. Maybe a little shock when I jab, but its never bad.

I quit aspirating after tons of injects with never seeing any blood in the syringe, but one time I did it and the syringe filled with blood immediately. I would have injected all that oil into my bloodstream so now I always aspirate.

Every day injections for 10 weeks. I DO hit my delts. And my glutes. And my Quads. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat.

How long should you expect to feel pain/discomfort after hitting a nerve? Hit one in my left quad last wednesday. It's been 4 days and I still feel a pain under the skin, not on the surface. When I stand up, it almost feels like something is slighly tearing or stretching. Is this normal?

Yes that's normal, It feels like a bad case of dms if it's your first time injecting. I remember my first inject was in my quad, I don't know if it was my nerves or if I hit a nerve but half way through it I was getting really dizzy, and sweaty, I had almost passed out. I pulled it out with half left in the needle. Got an ice pack, changed up the needle, and pinned my same leg 10 mins later and finished up no problem. Left quad has never been a problem for me. Then 6 weeks in I was doing my right quad again, and the exact same thing started to happened. So I hammered down on the plunger and just got it all in right before I almost passed out again. I don't know why the hell I was having that problem but haven't had it since. Knock on Wood.

Thanks for the reply. Bascially, the same scenario here. Pinned my left quad, hit a nerve and the pain was so bad, I had to pull out. Stretched it out and waited for about 10 minutes and pinned again. This time no problems with the insertion, but a few seconds later I got really dizzy and started sweating bullets....I may have actually passed out for a few seconds. It eneded up taking about 7 minutes to finish, and like I said, I still feel that discomfort in my left quad anytime I change positons and it seems the worst in the morning when I turn to get out of bed. Nothing like that ever happened to me before.

just hit my quad nerve, fast twich and i pulled it out!

before injection i dropt half a cc of test e on the floor Fking great...

I hit a nerve when i first started juicing and after that couldnt bring myself to pin my quads for a long time, then i read a tip from
A member here (dnt remember who) but he said he put his thumb right on his pelvis bone with his hand relaxed... Right where the tip of his pinky is the spot to jab... Havent hit a nerve in years, also i use a 25g not sure if that makes any difference.

To do a perfect Quad injection: Measure halfway from knee to hip. On the very center. Then move to the outside of your thigh, the part of the quad that "sticks out". That is the perfect spot to inject, no nerves etc.

In the glutes, put your hand on your hip with your thumb pointing downwards towards your feet on the front, spread your fingers as wide as you can on your buttcheek, pin between the little and ringfinger. Always perfect and no pain.

Delts, go to the very middle of your delt. Draw a rectangle in your mind with the top of the pyramid in the center top of your shoulder. Pin in the very center of the "pyramd". Perfect, painfree shots every time.

Thats where us nurses inject patients.

I never hit nerves anymore, as long as you stay to the outside of your quad youre fine. Veins on the other hand, GRRRRRR

how do you shoot quads 4x a week please give details if you dont mind.

I have been thinking about doing an upper and lower quad shot on each leg 2x a week. Is that what you are doing?

Thanks

Thats basically what I do, there are lots of places along your quad. Upper and lower as long as you stick to the outside of the leg you shouldnt run into too many nerves. Obviouslt the higher up, the safer you are to avoid them. the only down side is the amount of veins, I am constantly having to back out and repin because im going into a vein.

This is exactly correct. I have never hit a nerve doing it this way. Good Post Satyricon

No idea what you mean. Seems your just saying to go to the middle where the mass sticks out the most an inject that site.

Ive had test injections for years by nurses an this isnt the site they use. Always more to the rear of the delt.

When you know what your doing, you can hit the perfect spot from any angle, prolly has to do with needle length etc. For people that are not of a medical profession, the simple rules are the best.

Basicly its the very center of your delt. You can draw a pyramid from each tendom the muscle locks to and pin dead center. There are several sites on the net that shows the teqnuiques, even tho I dont have the links as of right now.
