Hey ladies!

I know you've all watched me morph from bloto to meathead over the past year so wanted to let you know I've decided to do the NPC show here in atlanta August 19th!

I've made some killer transformations over the past month and wanted to see what some of your thoughts were on what I needed to work on, etc.

Here are a few pics I took yesterday. The avi pic was taken yesterday as well.

1zleuko.jpg

And no, just the same suit not the same before pics when I joined the site. My backside was muuuuuccchh wider when I came to EF. :worried:

Stats as of 07.08.06:
12.5% BF
151
still 5'7 :)

Thoughts my lovely ladies?

So would I! :)

Seriously, you look fantastic. The "before" pic was post-bulking? Because I know that you did not build that muscle in a month - you just shed the fat, right?

What did you do to shed the fat, diet and training? You worked with a trainer, right? (or am I remembering incorrectly?????)

I think you will rock the contest. You look fabulous.

Hey lady! Thanks for the AWESOME response. Actually, the before picture was taken 06.09.06 the day before I started working with my trainer (exactly one month ago). Prior, I had not worked with a trainer at all. I'm not sure about the post bulking part...haha I was just training myself and know I had built a lot of muscle...just couldn't see it.

I've been training 7 days a week. One hour + weight training every day and SUPPOSE to be doing 2 cardio sessions a day but my schedule hasn't permitted until the past 3 days. :( Trainer seems to think much of the muscle I've built is recovery muscle.

I've been dieting like CRAZY. Tilapia, cod, broccoli, baked pot, almonds. That's it. I'm cycling on and off carbs every 3-5 days. Taking digestive enzymes, alpha lipoic, branched chain amino acids, prenatal vits, multi oils, and just started last week taking lipodrene.

You blow my mind. You look awesome.

Thanks for the clarification - I was just curious about how you got to where you are now. :)

I think you will kick ass, seriously. The comp itself will be tough, seems like they all are. But you look fabulous, and you have a great attitude. Regardless of how the comp goes, it is a learning experience and you can only benefit form it.

How do you feel?

You look FAB, HH! Let me know what you think of that Lipodrene, k?

Daisy, thank you so much. Really.

As for how I feel? Right now, working out and knowing i'm accomplishing something this big is what's keeping me going. Bray's dad sued me a month ago for sole physical and legal custody. Not really sure why it came as a shock considering all the stuff he's done in the past to show his butt....including the big ordeal here on EF. Though I know I'm a fantastic mom and there's no way he can prove me unfit....it just really sucks to have someone threaten you with your pride and joy. So it's been really tough over the past month dealing. The fact that I'm able to stick to my goals and actually make such an amazing transformation with all that is going on....makes me feel pretty good. Thanks for asking. You're a sweetheart, really.

i am so sorry you are going through all this. that sucks. i know things will work out, but in the meantime i hope you keep this great outlook you have. you are a strong lady, and a great mom. good luck to you, and i will send good thoughts your way!

That's just 1 month? WOWSER!!

Even with all the crap that walking rectal orifice is putting you through :finger: - Congrats on what you've accomplished in the last month - You look great!

(the finger is for the ex)

I can tell you are holding a bit more fat in the back and tricep area ... but they still look great. I am sure over the next couple weeks it will come together even more.

WOW!

Your progress is astonishing! I'm blown away! Great work! If there are places to be cleaned up... I sure as heck don't see 'em!!! You're lookin' fabulous! :D

It is all going to come together girl you are still 8 weeks out 12.5 % is a great postion to be in. Your calves look fab. Back is my strong point and I love working it. Make sure you are doing pull ups both closed and wide grip if you can't do body weight do assisted I find pull ups way better then pull downs for developing lats and back width. Also don't for get to deadlift that is going to hit both back and your hams. Tries are always a hard spot for woman. I have been trying to work mine twice a week one heavy session with close grip bench, french press and skull crushers. Then one light seasion rolling DB's press downs etc tons of reps light weight do it tell the muscle burns out.

Winning doesn't start on contest day. It started months ago. You know your limits. Find new ones.

You look great BTW.

OMGGGG look what the cat dragged in!! :wavey: HI Onerep!!

That picture was from last year. I prob should've taken the month ago pics in a different suit but you can DRASTICALLY tell the boobage difference from the before's last year and the before a month ago. Obviously, the ones in this thread are post surgery.

ps--i still hate you for that.

You look great HH. Keep up the great work. Best wishes for you & your comp :)

Need more pics to offer better analysis other than what was previously stated ... (not referring to photog pics either) :rose:
Thanks for dropping in

Back is where the majority of the fat is...but it's coming off too. Didn't get the best shot of the back but here's an idea....calves are getting ridiculous....booty and hams are my weak points.

Just continue doing whatever you're doing.

Imagine how you will look in 6 months with that gifted genetics and dedication

Yes it definitely bites. Thank you.

I'm gonna take some front and back shots this weekend...hopefully I'll have my suit by then...if not, I'll throw on a bikini.

Thank you all for your support and encouragement!!

Aight, as of last night I have 5.7lbs of unwanted fat.

I'm dropping weight and building muscle like a mad man. I've finally managed to get in my 2 cardio sessions for the past 3 days so I'm sure I'll see more results. Taking pics tonight so I'll post up for you guys to tell me what you think I need to do between now and next saturday, July 22. (FAME figure show)

I changed my mind from the fitness modeling to go with the figure. Decided I didn't want the NPC show in August to be the first time I got on stage to quarter turn it. :p

As of last night my stats are:

5'7
148lb
10%Bf

I'm at right about 5.7lbs of unwanted fat so I need to keep trailing it with cardio.

Any other thoughts or ideas?

(again, i'll post up pics tonight when i get home)

thank you ladies!!

WOW 10%!!! Awesome job, Girl! Sounds like you know what you're doin'! Just keep doing it! :garza:

Thoughts.....

PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE the 1/4 turns or however your Federation does posing.....same with walking in the shoes...

Get a plan for the final prep the few days before: last bit of tanning, hair, toes, nails, makeup, make sure you can apply the false eyelashes, Protan or whatever application, stuff you're taking TO the show....

Take a notebook to the show to write down what you eat while there & how you react to it - good for the next time doing a show....ie I found eating PB on show day make me puff up.....

Thank you jen!! I'm getting painted next week. Going this weekend to do eyebrows, tan, hair colored (darker), colonic and nails. I have my makeup artist who does my work for my shoots doing my makeup next week and she just flippin' rocks.

I'm posing everyday....the back thing is the worst for me but I'm working hard on it.

Depending in which category you'll be participating it would be a good idea that you also take pics practicing your poses because that way you can see how you will look in the actual posing.

On the other hand, from pics I will say that you're still holding some water specially in the back. Given that your comp is next saturday, be sure to ask your trainer how he plans to do manipulation of diuretics.

Yea we've been taking pics of me posing so that definitely works and helps.

I started the water depletion two days ago....I see just in the past 4 days the difference in water in my bod.

And yes, I hold everything in my back for sure. We are working on that.

I expect you'll start working on circuit training this week primarily to burn out as much glycogen as possible before you stop? Also dont' know what the trainer says about diuretics - Since you're on the last 7-8 days I'd recommend MHP Xpel - you can get it at GNC - its a 5 day treatment (Taraxatone is a 10 day cycle). Otherwise dandelion root or b6 is an option.

Just a comment - not sure if your pix above are your actual poses - the back qtr turn is a hard one if you arent' comfortable with it. Think (i.e. visualize) the points of your shoulders as the widest points on your body - imagine puppet strings attached there and use those points as the only points that are being pulled up & out and let your arms & everything else just hang from there - don't make your elbows the widest point on your pose -that just rounds out your shoulders and then creates a "round" look to your overall shape, i.e. "O" vs "Y".

Great progress tho! You'll have a great time! I don't think I'll be able to make it next week -- expect to be out west still. But have fun with it & just work what God gave ya on stage girlie!

You never got back to me on what category you're doing for FAME, remember their figure is nothing like NPC Figure, there is a routine which is across between fitness and bodybuilding.

the circuit training should be largelly dependent on the carb load(if there is one)

dang woman, i didn't even recognize you in your avi!!! what a GORGEOUS picture!!

I'm doing figure in the FAME show. Please please tell me more about the protocal for the routine as well as what the required poses are. I'm hearing mixed things.

Thank you!! (gosh, you look gorgeous in your pic!)

It's me, it's me, haha thank you :)

Girl didn't you get my pm last week? QT posted a link to the requirements. As I said it's in between bodybuilding and fitness for the routine.

You look great :)

I want some muscles too. lol well more like toning and getting lean... bit muscles over here and there... ;)

HH there is also a posing round http://www.fameworldtour.com/competitors/categories/figure_symmetry.asp

To be honest this is one aspect of WNSO/FAME that I really like the posing and routines for figure. I have considered giving them a try but I would have to stop my "super supplements" to make the N part of there mandate. I have looked in the rules but can't seem to find how long you have to be completely clean for. One of my friends promotes for them and he can't even say for certain how long you have to be clean for.

If you can pass the "drug test" then you're clear. They don't really have a time frame.

Hey lady! Thank you for the info. I actually started the taraxatone on the 12th.....10 days out. It seems to be working awesome. My butt, hams and lower back still my weak points. My arms, shoulders, calves, and abs are rockin'. Getting nervy. :worried:

Thank you soooo much for the visual on the back. Lord knows I've had helluva problems poppin' it out. :(

I've kicked up the cardio to two hours a day and weight training yesterday, today and tomorrow....that's it for the week. I'm not sleeping AT ALL. :(

Going into day 7 of no carbs (short of broccoli) so i'm morphing into a real beyoooottch!

Thank you again.

That is kinda silly. I mean if you know what you are doing you can taper 2 weeks out off drugs and still be natural? I know some natural associations you need to be 3 years clean. Isn't the "drug test" a lie detector?

Yes exactly and a few do just that, or they take stuff off-season. And yes it's silly, and unfair. The drug test is a screening panel, the day of the athlete's meeting they take you into this room with a few other competitiors and you take your clothes off (you're wearing a bikini underneath lol) and they look you over, look for physical signs of drug use. Then well I don't really know what the do if they think you used something, lol cause well I'm all natural. But then you are allowed to compete, and then the top 5 are taken off stage right after the show for a urine test.

you have to be clean for the duration

...of the drug test

thats it.

Unless a poly graph - those are going away as there are ways around those

Yeah my friend was part of the panel he said if you look "juiced" the don't let you compete.

im sure i'll get polygraphed. i haven't met anyone yet who hasn't asked me what i'm cycling. kinda sad that the big perception of the world is that you have to juice to look "hard" or "cut". blah.

OMG!! Wow it's SO coming together!! Are you going to take some driving lessons when you make your first million?? :lmao: Couldn't resist teasing you hun.....I can say I knew her "when."

Oh and I want MY signed mag to say: "To my #2 fan!"

Oh dang, i'm soooo fired. Ok, seriously...no really this time....pics are being taken tonight. Honestly, I don't know how people do it! There's not enough time in the day to get done everything that needs be.

So, here's my hugeMONGO problemo right now-o......just....JUST got music TODAY......which means I have exactly...*counting filanges*......3....THREE days to get a routine together and I don't have a CLUE what I need to do during this said "routine" for FAME. I read the links but I didn't see the crayons and construction paper version. :(

Miss 24k....am I walking from certain points on the stage? Do I need to figure out real fast how to do a one handed pushup with my leg in the air while smiling and bobbing my head? Um, if so, i quit. :worried:

I didn't see anywhere where's the "required" poses for the routine. Did I miss that?

You guys are all sooo freakin' awesome. I'm on day 8 of no carbs and been running taraxatone through the bod for past 7 days.....down to 87oz of water today. *DRY GULP*

I've got veins popping out in places I didn't know I HAD veins. What up with that?

Girl ... you have 3 days to prep for what girls do in 8-12 weeks?? (re: routines) WOW ... We've come to ... You either do it or you don't ... You either work it or your don't ... You've come this far ... be sure to have fun :) Well wishes & positive vibes your way ... :rose:

I honestly do not know how you are going to put together a routine in 3 days, I've said more than once that Figure with FAME is not like NPC the routine round is a cross between Fitness and bodybuilding, so no you don't have to do any tumbling, but it has to be creative and upbeat, it's not just walking and posing at certain spots on the stage, you must use the whole stage. I wish you the best of luck.

Here is what it says on the website.

FIGURE ROUTINES (1/3 of score)
Each competitor must prepare a 90 second routine (set to music of their choice) designed to display their physique, physical conditioning, personality, posing & creativity.

There are no mandatory components or moves that must included in your routine. The whole idea is to display your physique in the best light to the judges. If you choose to incorporate poses, remember to avoid clenched fists, and only select your best ones. Routines should be creative and entertaining so as to maintain the attention of the judges & the audience.

The routine round is worth a lot of your score (1/3). For this reason it is VERY important that you spend time preparing your routine. Then PRACTICE & PERFECT it! If you need help, please contact us for suggestions of choreographers.

Props/Themes/Costumes:
Props may be used but are not required. Please ensure that if you choose to use props that you are using them effectively as part of your routine. You are not given a higher score if you have a prop, but having a prop could add to the overall entertainment value of your routine if incorporated well. Prop set up & tear down must not take longer than 20 seconds, as this just delays the show for everyone. If you have any large or unusual props such as dry ice, smoke or pyrotechnics, please contact us. Thanks!

Any talent you may have can be incorporated into a figure routine, such as all types of Dance, Martial Arts, Aerobics, Robotics, Yoga, Mime, Jump Rope, Baton...

What the Judges are Judging :
Display of Musculature
The goal here is to show your physique looking its best. To do so you can incorporate some or all of the mandatory poses, &/or you can be creative with how you choose to display the best attributes of your physique.

Creativity/Personality / Entertainment
Are you enjoying performing? Remember to smile and use facial expressions. Keep your routine fun and entertaining. Try to incorporate elements, themes, or music that will make you stand out from others. The judges are still evaluating you on how you handle any fumbles or errors. Oftentimes, if an athlete misses a component the judges won't notice, unless you make it obvious - so if that happens, just keep going and keep smiling!

Confidence & Projection
Try to connect with both the audience and judges - remember you are performing for them! You should also appear to know your routine well, moves should flow flawlessly into the next.

Overall Choreography
Your whole routine should flow smoothly. You should also try to use a large portion of the stage, rather than staying in 1 area only. Make sure to select your music wisely and use your music well. If you used props, were they used effectively? Was your routine enjoyable to watch? Did your routine stand out from the others? Was it well rehearsed?

Demerits:
You can lose points from every judge on the panel (which can greatly impact your score) if you pose using clenched fists (rather than open hands), use music that has profanity, choose outfits that are too revealing, show poor sportsmanship, use flips in your routines, or if you're too striated.

Music
Music selection and recording can make or break your routine. Please make sure to have your music professionally recorded. Do not hand us your only copy of your routine music. Always keep a backup or the original at home. Based on this rule, we will assume all music can be discarded after the event. If you would like it back, it is your responsibility to pick it up after the event right from the DJ.

Important:
If you are competing in more than 1 category, you must bring more than 1 recording - even if your music is the same.. This is very important for the event administrators.

Recordings

Best to burn your routine music to a CD. It sounds much better than a tape recording and it is much easier to navigate. Try to keep quality of the music high as it needs to be played very loud. Ensure there is no background static. Use radio edits (not internet downloads) to ensure the highest quality music. All music should be in audio format, not data format (eg MP3). Test out your music on a regular CD player (NOT a DVD player). If you are burning your cd from your computer, please ensure that it's nothing less than 192 KBPS // 44 KHZ. If using a tape, please make sure to record your music at high quality. Your music should be recorded at the beginning of both sides of the tape. Be sure to start your music immediately after the white strip stops and the black strip appears. This will allow our music operators to just press play and your music will start.

Go Professional:
It's a great asset to use a proper DJ to record your music for so many reasons such as: smoother transitions between songs; no clicks & pops; no silence when joining together different audio parts; volume is kept consistent & accurate; giving you the option to add special effects, accents, climax building; allows you to sync your poses to music; perfect fade ins and fade outs; older music can be remastered to be louder and better enhanced with deeper bass and better detailed highs. Back Up

Bring a back-up copy of your music in case there’s a problem with the original. You should keep the backup with you backstage in case it's required.

Selection
Do not select music that has profanity as this could cause you to lose marks. Do select music that has a fun beat or rhythm that you can work with &/or get a DJ to make rhythm changes. Select music that will help to display your personality & creativity To end your routine, it's best to cut the music off or fade it out. This beats walking off stage while it is still playing, as it leaves the audience feeling your routine was unfinished (unless there's a point to it).

Music Problems
If your routine music skips, starts late, sounds bad, or there is a technical difficulty, please remember that although it is not fun you are still being watched by the judges. Your reaction and how you handle the situation will be noted. Please also note, that any time there is a technical issue, you will be permitted to start your routine over.

Stage Size:

Generally events have a stage no smaller than 24” by 30” wide. Sometimes they are a lot larger. If an event has a smaller stage, it will be specified under that event.

Please note:
Generally all athletes will be able to perform their routine during both the judging and evening shows. However, depending on the total number of athletes, the routine round may be eliminated from the preliminaries &/or limited to only the top 5 in each division (based on the symmetry & posing rounds) for the Finals. Although WNSO would much rather prefer all athletes to be able to perform their routines, sometimes this is not possible due to time restrictions. Thanks for your understanding.
