We just tried an Argentinian Malbec from Costco. Wasn't too bad, but more like a Barbera or a Syrah (kinda spicy). I lean toward smoother heavy bodied reds which can be problematic at times. Good Pinot Noirs are my fav (2008 California Central Coast MacMurray Ranch or 2009 Oregon Williamette Valley Vintners are current tops). This Garnacha has a good full body with a smooth finish. We got this one at Costco as well.

The best time to buy wines is between christmas and new years. They sell the 1/3 of there list price at the wineries.
