Here's an excerpt (emphasis mine)...
So who's upset by all this? The economic left, the Krugmanites who always oppose tax reductions and view increasing individual prosperity and the resulting freedom with suspicion. And the intelligentsia, last week personified by the people at the International Monetary Fund, who released a report on their "2001 Consultation with officials of the United States on economic developments and policies." They are static thinkers, believing the Bush tax cut will "cost" $2.5 trillion or more over 10 years but create negligible economic growth. So they recommend a "flexible" approach to tax reductions, which is bureaucratic doublespeak for raising the taxes Congress and President Bush just cut.

But for Main Street Americans, it has been a good decade. The opportunity expansion that began in 1983 is with us still, giving a lot of people in this blessed land the chance to pursue their hopes and dreams.
