im living in canada and thinking of joining the army. Im 22 and i still dont know what i wanna do when i GROW UP. I feel a sense or urgency. Since i was young ive been dreaming of being a pilot and thinking of going into the canadian air force. Whats it like being in the army? what are the pros and cons? Im truely considering this but i dont know anyone personally who can give me advice, maybe you guys can. What was your experiences, pros and cons and most important what were your options when you were done? oh yes, is juicing possible in the army? is it even harder to juice?

If you want to fly..........don't fucking bother. You have to go to RMC and unless you start your flight training at about 18 you'll never fly here.

I joined the US Army at 21 for the same reason - didn;t know what I wanted to do. I knew I didn;t want a "9 to 5", so I tried something else.

Now I'm out, I'm 25, I can handle a 9 to 5, a little more mature, etc.

Army life (as an infantry solider)

-Not much money
-Rough life (time in the field, outdoors, no showers etc.)
-Sometimes asshole boss (true anywhere)

-Peers are good guys generally
-Work hard, PLAY hard (people are always upfor a roadtrip)
-Lifetime friends

-Desirable to employers

I made more true friends in the Army than I did in college.

Dont do it!, i just got out of boot camp and AIT and everyone i know hates it, it might get better when im permanent party. but mostly everything is a lie about the army. They said i wouldnt go outta the states, now they sendin my ass to south korea

SOUTH KOREA is the shit my friend because you will have such a good fucking time it is going to be on like popcorn!!! I was at camp yungsan, and camp red cloud back in september of last year for a month and it was off the chain..... DO NOT TURN INTO A ALCOHOLIC OVER THERE BECAUSE YOU CAN IF YOUR NOT WATCHING HOW MUCH YOU GO OUT! The shopping is incredible, and you can have all your clothes made custom especially suits and they can make you a custom suit for $175 that will cost you $1000 stateside easily! You are in so just enjoy it and have some fun .I am in MACEDONIA right now as I write this and sure we do not pay taxes and get hazardous duty pay, but there is a damn war going on and I wouldn't mind one bit being in KOREA after no punanny or booze in 6 months!!! I take that back, I went on pass to SOFIA, BULGARIA and they have some of the most beautiful women in the world!! HAD A BLAST FOR 5 DAYS AND WOULD GO BACK IN A HEARTBEAT!! MAKE SURE YOU GET SOME SKILLS FROM THE MILITARY THAT YOU CAN CARRY OVER INTO THE CIVILIAN WORLD AND MAKE THE BIG BUCKS!! We have civilian contractors over here working for BROWN @ ROOT making $70,000 driving a truck!! If you know communications,satellite,radar etc you can make $120-150,000 per year and if you think I am lying well talk to some of your older nco's or officers and most of them end up in BOSNIA OR MACEDONIA OR HUNGARY working some sweet job for BROWN AND ROOT or the government and hell YOU DO NOT PAY TAXES ON ANYTHING UNDER $$$76,000 SO you can work 10 years and retire easy or just move up the chain and really get paid.I am making mad contacts while here and this is the best kept secret and it has been going on for years!! good luck RIZZO
