Are you willing to die for someone??

For my wife and kids sure. Without thinking about it.

Tough question on your above stranger scenario. I'm not sure if I, or ANYONE , would have time to think of possible outcome, most would prolly react without thinking to push/pull a person outta the way of the on coming bus.

If there were EVER an instance where I KNEW death was for sure, the only person I'd die for would be my lil girl! Fact!

As humans, we have a natural instinct for self-preservation... to say one would die willingly for someone else... is really a tough call until you are placed in that situation...

Of course, I don't doubt that many would die for thier wives or children... the strong emotional bond will probably overshadow your natural instinct for survival long enough for you to make the sacrifice.

I'm not sure... I have no wife, and no children... I have a mother and a father... who would die for me before I could die for them... so maybe we'd die together?

I really envy someone who loves (and is loved) enough to be willing to give their lives for their significant other...

Is this person I don't know a Child ?
If so, then yes, without hesitation as I have had 40 good years here on this earth.

An adult would cause me a bit of thought first, and probably make me too late..

I think the family being a Yes is a given for MOST of us here.....

This depends on many factors and has no concrete answer.

In general, no. First, I do not want to die. Also, I have a wife now. I don't want to leave her behind.

On the other hand, in certain situations I would. Start involving kids into "going to die unless I act" equation and the probability that I lay down my life goes up.
