Are you more "flawed" than your significant other?

Between a couple theres always one of the two who is more "flawed" as a person in general. I feel that Im that person between me and my girlfriend. Thats not to say Im satan or anything because my g/f is rather upstanding but Im certainly more flawed in character than she is. Anyone else realize this about themselves in their relationships?

This is common.

The only thing is you both know your flaws. You don't know hers until after you get married.

lumberg will say he is more flawed than I am. im not entirely sure that's true because who decides what is a flaw and what is not a flaw? this seems awfully subjective and i never saw a reason to want to compare us in that way, but he has on numerous occasions commented on how Im a way more awesome person. i dont always agree.

Absolutely! I'm far more difficult, insensitive, aggressive, arrogant and selfish to name but a few. The difference being, that I admitted my flaws early on in the relationship whereas she still refuses to recognize hers. I way overbalance this by being the male default asshole though.

Im aware of my shortcomings but he has this inflated opinion about me. i think perhaps he's fooling himself?

I get this from my Old Grump. I think most of the praise I receive from him is undeserved but on the other hand, it feels MUCH BETTER than being torn down 24/7 as I was in my first marriage.

I know that I am an awesome person but there are so many unpleasantries that are attached to me. Sometimes I truly believe that my husband ruined his life by marrying me. :( It is THAT hard being my husband.
