Are Trac phones any good

why do cell phone stores say trac phone from hell then when talking about them. Is it because they dont make any money off them? I dont want a contract cause last phone i had i never used it. i dont even answer my home phone half the time. Just want one incase im lost, late, etc.

I know there are others . I live in northwest ky

if you get a tracfone, make sure you use it sparingly, or you buy alot of minutes at a time
because the minutes could be from .25c a minute
alot of ppl buy them to just carry around for emergencies.

yes i would never use it rarely, just would feel more comfortable having one.

Can i get a major brand and get a card without a credit card or get charge a buck a day

my motorola i860 is da bomb. It has already been stolen once, so I keep insurance on it

insurance is a scam , here in ky you have to pay a 50 dollar deductable and fill out a police report. The phone might not even cost 50 plus after you pay the insurance you will end up paying more than what the phone cost

I own a track phone. It has been good for me so far.
I use my home phone and just use the track phone for long distance or if I am not home. I put 120 min per month on it and it lasts.Alot of times I over lap and end up stocking up on the cards for 2 or 3 months.
I think that the only problem that people find with them is that they make it so that you have to use your mins by a certain time because they will deactivate your phone if you dont
