They need to be working frantically at the airport or even worse, on the plane? Or are they just self-important douchebags who like to play the part of coporate execs?

I hate these douches who have their blackberrys rollin, laptops fired up and their "documents" being reviewed like they're really someone special.


They all need to sign up here and fucking relax/get off their high horse/go Platinum/get over themselves.

And yes ever since commodity became the 'substance' of cultural meaning.
Buying, Selling, Commodification of Self, through Identity as Consumeristic Choice defines all.
Thesis was on this, and thought it was novel discovery...
Now I realize it's just basic common sense.

most people like that with blackberrys , computers, yadayayuay are the least important part of the corporate structure and not only that .. 99% of the time, they are just talking to friends...... The more stuff you have .. like: 2 phones and a pager hanging off your belt. carrying a laptop .. the least important you are...

Every family vacation, every BIG event, even when I was in the hospital after my son was born .....
.... yea. My dad was always the man on tha phone in the photo's background.

fuck that noise. My Dad IS a corporate Exec and he doesnt do that crap lol In fact, lol, he refuses to even carry a blackberry or a laptop.

My dad is a senior partner at his firm(corporate law)
and doesn't need to be on the phone or always out of town. He just won't let any of the other lawyers work on the good cases because he's a control freak. So, he just keeps anything he thinks is a good case because he thinks the younger people will screw it up,lol.:rolleyes:

lol funny, my dad sed to say, "the more keys you have, the less important you are." Mind you, he was often teasing himself because he had a massive amount of keys, but there's truth to it.

Even when I was traveling for work, at most I was on my phone. I think it's also a matter of some people feeling uncomfortable sitting alone and having no one to talk to so it's better to look "busy."
 
Even when I have had an essay to write, I can't use a laptop in the airport or on the plane.

I can barely do any reading when flying.

On a train, different story.
 
When I'm at the airport or on the plane messing around on my phone.....well im just messing around...it passes the time, especially if I can't talk to you. But, if you were with me, etc. my phone would be off. Maybe they're passing the time? I dunno.

LOL Elite is ALWAYS on my laptop bishes, haven't I clued ya'll when I am on my bithness travels? When it's personal, ya'll get left out here in cyberspace. Hope that didn't hurt anyone's feelins'.... just how it is.

As for the phone, my husband has to talk A LOT on the phone. I never take offense to that. Hell I learn more about what is going on over-hearing his phone conversations then what he actually TELLS me. <--- THAT right there is funny.

Me - "Why didn't you tell me that?"

GOM - "Ummm weren't you sitting here listening?"

Me - "But I just asked you, what's new and you said not much."

*slaps forehead*

Whenever I'm at the Airport, my only job is to watch people. Maybe get a beer.

Holy Entertaining and self motivating knowing I'm not as screwed up as some people.
 
lol everytime I see those people george castanza pops into my head. you know the episode where he figures out if you keep looking at your watch/look flustered people assume youre busy and important
