Toga,
I am not selling them short as far as athletic ability they are very talented and strong btw. I just don't know why they have to dress them the way they do and make them do some of erotic moves they do. I mean these kids were 7 years old.
I understand what you are saying...but think of it this way. When you were a kid playing football in the back yard, did you pretend to be Joe Shmoe the local H.S. quarterback or did you pretend that you were Joe Montana (or whoever from the team that you supported). Kids tend to mock what they see....and unfortunately for these girls this is what they have for role models....dress wise. And for girls, dressing-up, is a fun thing for them.....different than boys. Girls always pretend that they are "grown-up"...for instance, I remember getting all dressed up with make-up and jewerly and the whole bit to go out on a weekly breakfast "dates" with my Dad. The important thing here is that hopefully, they also have good leaders and role models, as far as women go at home.
I competed in many of these events...and gymanstics and dancing events when I was even younger.....my parents would have NEVER let me out of the house wearing the clothes or "costumes" that I did, for any other occasion.
