Ok, for those who arent familiar with Arbor Mist, its a recent addition to the evergrowing collection of cheap wines. We all know cheap wine tastes ok and its cheap. A favorite of bums, teenagers, and anyone looking for an inexpensive drink that tastes better than a 40 oz of malt liquor.
The difference between Arbor Mist & other cheap wines (Mad Dog 20/20 for example) is that it tries not to look cheap. The bottle is shaped like a traditional wine bottle, for example.
I'd never tried any of it until recently. I was talking to the liquor store clerk and he said that for the most part, it was bought strictly by black males, and he said that over half of them had said it was for a date.
I can just imagine some guy in a car trying to act cool, reaching into a cooler in his back seat... "guess what baby, I decided not to get our usual colt 45... we got the wine poppin tonight!" A $4 bottle of wine is not something to impress your date with, but I guess if they dont know better, ignorance is bliss right?
