Apt garbage removal service?

there's probably 2,000 people that live in my apartment complex. the dumpsters are located kind of far away and it can be a pain in the ass to walk all your trash out there.

do you think it'd be possible for me to get in a contract with the apartment owners so that they would raise people's rent by $15 a month but tell the residences it entitles them to free trash takeout twice a week?


if that wouldn't work i could just pass flyers around to every apt. if only 500 people did it at 15 bucks a month that's $7,500 for one month working 2 days a week.

all i'd have to do is buy a cheap pickup truck and toss all the trash in there then throw it in the dumpsters. i may be able to do other complexes also.

I sure wouldn't. I'm not so lazy that I can't walk to the dumpster and take my own trash out. I think that you have a good idea, here...but 15 bucks extra each month is a little bit high. I would probably pay an extra 7 or maybe even 10 (that might be pushing it a bit, though).

i dont have a pickup truck, if i did this i might consider buying one. hey for 5-10k a month and only 8-10 days work i'll swallow my pride and do some dirty work.

Like I said...I think it's a great idea...but 15 dollars extra on top of normal monthly rent would not be worth it in my opinion. Now...there are plenty of people who WOULD pay that, I'm sure.

Nope I wouldn't pay $15. That's as much as a real bill like local phone or water.

ok $15 is a bit steep maybe. but if i could get a contract with the apt managers so that they just add it to people's rent, i could drop the price down to $10 a month. most of the apt's here are 2-3 bedrooms so it'd be $5 a person.


also, most of the people that live here are paying anywhere from $500-800 a month just for rent. an extra $5 a month wouldn't be too big of a deal.

theres not many other jobs i can think of where i make my own hours, can work around school, and make good money working minimal time.

When you say that the dumpsters are far, I'm guessing a 5 minute walk to and fro.

5 x 2 = 10

Twice a week = 20 minutes

4 weeks in a month = 80 minutes = 1 1/3 hours.

That's 1 hour and 20 minutes a month of your life dedicated to taking out the garbage, versus paying someone $15 a month to do it.

That's a good idea, but I think that business is controlled by the Mafia like the other guy said. I could be wrong. I know it was in certain places because I remember reading about it.
