I was wondering if any you guys or gals have one of these and what you thougt? People have said they are the shiznit!

So.....

makes our floors shine great. WOnder why the manufacturers dont approve...its just hot water and on my hardwoods i actually come right behind it with a towel so the moisture doesnt absorb into the wood.

I don't have one.

Then again, I have a sack and don't get particularly excited about home cleaning devices.

Yes. Works, but really, it's no faster than a regular mop. If you get a lot of spills that are sticky, like splashed soda or something sugary that someone missed, it might be worthwhile because the heat gets up stuff that you'd be going over a ton of times otherwise. There's no bucket, but you have to mop at a controlled pace so any time savings are, pardon the pun, a wash.

I have no doubt it could destroy good hardwoods (I have hardwood floors that were destroyed long before I bought this dump so who gives a shit). It's fine for linoleum, ceramic tile or maybe even composite flooring.

Mr. Clean Magic Eraser is fucking tits. Never used the steam mop thing. For a hundred buck you could get a shitload of magic erasers and erase your fucking house.

I would use it on vinyl, and tile but not species like wood, bamboo or laminate as they hate moisture and can lead to cupping of the boards. If I were to use it over laminate I would use it graceful and not heavy, because also alot of moisture can make laminate seams blister. Hence why I don't recommend Laminate in most bathrooms (people still do it, but rarely around here)

I just ordered one so we shally see! I will keep you-all posted! lol

You will like it,i got one,you can clean your floors ,then go behind with this baby and you'll really see what you missed.

I like the idea of it, cleans and disinfects with just plain old water. I guess if I had hdwood though I would want to make sure it would not damage. Can you clean your walls and other things beside floors with it too? Or does it make enough moisture to make paint bubble? does it pick up debris and dust or is it strictly a mop?
I am very interested in cleaning doodads, and am always looking for the perfect clean that does not take tooooo long, but is effective.

As much as I love the magic eraser, if I have to get on my hands and knees daily or weekly the floor wont get clean.

+1
and the magic eraser falls apart after one good use...

I just sweep everyday and swiffer wet cloth every couple and that seems to get the job done. Plus I really like using the reverse side of the wet cloth for getiing the baseboards clean too.

I use a swffer on my hardwood floors and you may think its clean, grab that steam mop then you will be amazed after looking at what the swiffer missed. don't worry about it hurting the floor its steam and dries quickly
