Anyone here take a CIA/FBI/NSA polygraph?

Looks like the same old crap they always ask.

BTW - did she admit to the aderall use after she failed the test?

I have passed many a polygraph. antipolygraph.org. Once you understand the difference between a control question, etc. It becomes very easy to beat. PM me with any questions.

good point 1500, yes, right on the head. How long was the session?

The initial 100 or so questions usually takes over an hour. Then another 30 to an hour on the box. Most that I have passed give the test three times, if deception is shown on the same question twice, then you are given it a third time. If you show deception on lets say two separate questions, but only on one of the tests, then you will only be administered two tests.

I PURPOSELY showed deception on "are the lights on in the room"? (an obvious control question) and believe it or not " have you ever stolen anything in your life"? (Another obvious control question) MOst agencies know that you have stolen something like a pen from work etc, and you're not going to remember all of these times, thus most likely show deception, which makes this question a very good control.

One skilled in taking a polygraph will know that you WANT to show the highest level of deception that you can on these controlled questions. Those of you familiar with the polygraph will know why.

If the other party wants you more than you want them -- you don't need them. :)

These tests are really ways to 'weed down numbers' for various jobs.

Even the Presidency of the United States job - doesn't require a polygraph test! (would be hillariuos though!)

One of the questions they ask is,,, "Have you studied ways to beat the polygraph, specifically using the interntet?".... LOL

no she didn't lie at all, she confessed to taking it during the test, and they failed her because of it

That's the thing I don't understand about organizations like the CIA. Why in God's name would you want to hire an Eagle Scout, whose never done anything wrong in his entire life, to perform something like espionage, which basically implies that you need to be at least a little sneaky and/or subversive.

Not anytime this life thanks.

Anyone else here going through the process of trying to join a government enforcement agency?
