Anyone here have an M.B.A.??

Another quick question....if I'm working full time, have a family and all that stuff, how many classes at a time would you recommend for the average person.....

No more than 3 a semester if you have a wife. No more than 2 if you have children and a wife.

Just do what feels best to you...could be one course, two, or three courses per semestre.
I will be going to grad school in January myself and am looking forward to it, although I have heard that the math program at my prospective universite is quite challenging.
Given your engineering background, I would imagine that you should not have too many difficulties in attaining your MBA. Perhaps you could consider taking it one step further by pursuing a phD?

Sincerely,
bunny

I'm going the easy route - I'm going for an MSA - I have no interest in the financial/mathematical end of an MBA. I read somewhere that on average a person with a masters degree earns double what a person with their bachelors degree does...

I simply am doing it for the fun of being a student :) I love it...

I really do want to go for it, but I just need to find a way to fit it into the family life, my workouts, job, and side business. I want to do it all without having to sacrifice anything. I know it sounds selfish, but I really do most of these things for my family and not myself.......

Look into an abreviated weekend program and online programs, you can find plenty of options beyond the traditional model are available.

Very good advice. A friend of mine attends Baylor's 2 year, wkend MBA program. She attends class (Friday and Saturday and part of Sunday) every other wkend.

I've tried to check into it here in Michigan, but haven't been able to come up with anything yet.....if anyone has info I would appreciate it.

beastboy -

Im considering doing an mba as well.

GMAT questions are pretty easy. Mostly reading comprehension, simple mathematics, some logic oriented questions ect. Go to chapters and browse through their graduate academic preparatory test books.

Not to diss any business majors, but business, or commerce, is one of the easiest discplines u can take in school. THe MBA program, like WARIk said, just rehashes an undergrad commerce degree + they add a couple of text books. Whoopie.

Its pathetic actually. Business's think theyree getting top notch 'hawks' with an mba. *snicker*
