beastboy...I have my MBA. It is worth it if you want to work in the corporate world or consulting firms etc. If you are going to start your own business, you may find it useful or not depending on the type of business. In contrast to Mattskywalker, I feel that education is always worthwhile. It can never hurt and it very possibly might give you an advantage that will help. I am not sure why skywalker is so anit-MBA, but don't take my word or his for it. Just look at data on the salary differences of people with MBA's versus those without. Also, check out the educational credentials of most high level execs. and then make up your own mind about how valuble it is. As for the GMAT if you have an engineering background the math section will probably be very easy. As for the verbal section I don't know how adept you are in this area but I am sure you will do well. If you are worried just take one of the prep courses. 450 should be very easy to score if you have any brains at all
. Since you have a family and work I would recommend taking 2 classes a semester, unless you feel you can comfortably handle more. Hope this helped. Good luck.
